Thank you for putting this into words. I got called weird all the time as a kid, made the choice to take it as a compliment. It getting used right now the way it is to offend bad people doesn't bother me, but I am worried about the knock on effects of weird being more heavily perceived as negative over time.

At least some Safeways do this for anyone without direct deposit.

Yeah, there's a gulf of difference between wanting a problem to disappear vs relishing the incredibly detailed idea of pain and suffering of another human being. One's like putting down a rabid dog, the other is just pain for pains sake.

I was reading another article about this same town (Granbury, Texas), discussing a massive bitcoin mining operation literally giving the people & animals there sonic damage. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend any of them.

I've found periodically cleaning mine with rubbing alcohol and a qtip vastly improves charging, fit, and sound. Still thinking about upgrading sometime soon tho.

As someone working at a college--yup. A lot of students don't know how to log out, or find save files. Where would they have learned it, though? You never log out of mobile devices.

I would love to see fish ladders implemented all the way up into Canada. I know it will be a challenge to build past the Grand Coulee dam because it's such a big structure. But it's sure worth a push to help restore salmon to the habitats.

I really tend to hate the parents' rights crowds. Children deserve rights and knowledge and community.

She (the candidate was a woman) was noted for being pretty batshit, kinda in the Sarah Palin camp. So she could say stupid with a straight face. There was no real plan to replace Obamacare, and everyone mocked her for the bartering thing.

Just like everyone mocked her when she told a bunch of Latino kids (confronting her for being racist) that they 'looked kinda Asian.'
