When your pile of shame is 4 steam decks' worth, you know you have a problem...
The comments will stay luckily, just not the images
So you're saying the cake... was a lie?
I'm currently hosed by the fact that I am in the middle of completing my Electrical Engineeing degree (approx. 2 years left), and I don't believe my credits would be transferable to an institution across the Atlantic (never mind the cost, shudder), so I can't even think about escaping until at least 2027.
If there's a better way forward so I can safely leave the nation and still achieve my degree, I'm all ears, but at least to me it seems my hands are a bit tied.
Hey, just put the word out for my work visa, please! XD
Yeah, from Constantiam! Missed ya brother, you still on Discord?
Definitely. I love vr experiences myself, but some of my friends do not care for it whatsoever.
No, I'm using a lemmy account, but the instance I am using offers to let you have a lemmy and Piefed account in the same place. So if you wanted to switch between the two, it's easy.
Lol, at my IT job waiting for the updates to download. Spending time here too.
Blahaj.zone has both a lemmy and a piefed option, so that's one of the reasons why I went with them. Plus, it seems to be one of the most accepting and transparent of the bunch.
I'm currently using Win10 IOT LTSC on my main gaming rig, and Mint on my laptop to get used to the environment (started 2 years ago). It's a great way to both get used to the new ecosystem, and have a fallback cushion if some software or scenario doesn't work properly.
I was able to migrate everything else, so I'm guessing it's up to the instance host to provide that data. I managed to export a .json of all my subscriptions, profile info, etc... so I guess it's just a structural issue with how images and posts are shared.
Can't complain about lemm.ee as a service though, they've been upfront about the whole thing.
Man, whats the furry % of VRC users? There's gotta be a ton of folks who identify more with their Fursona at this point.
All I will say is those aren't just isolated stories. Even I've been guilty of thinking staying in the headset is genuinely more comfortable than waking up to reality.

Truscape@lemm.ee is dead. Long live Truscape@lemmy.blahaj.zone.
Also sorry in advance for all the pictures I uploaded on that account getting snapped after the shutdown.
NGL I expect this may genuinely happen to a VRChat user at some point
