Keiko would make a good chef, I think. She has experience with different kinds of cuisine.
Of course, she may not personally enjoy cooking some things, like a traditional Irish breakfast... But she would still make it taste good for the people who do like it (while constantly trying to get them to try literally anything else that's healthy)
And neelix knows how to be serious when it's needed. He would enjoy slam poetry and baking classes in an out-of-the-way area, but the moment the red alert is sounded, he's ready to go with a phaser in hand, and memories of the war.
I'll pass on The Sisko being my enemy. I do not want him to be my enemy. I choose life. He can live with it
And a spin-off that will ultimately be recieved poorly, be canceled after two seasons, and then slowly gain popularity as people realize it's not actually bad, they just wanted something else at the time.
It's a matter of public record that Morn is quite the talker. Even Jahdzia Dax finds it difficult to get a word in. And we all know how much trill can talk... Each one has enough experience to fill a star ship's memory banks!
Every time someone shows up needing something from the person he's talking to, there's a 50/50 chance it was made up just to give them an out.
Well, I could have gone into detail about their scientific and industrial value, but those aren't what massively inflates their perceived importance and price.
I got covid before I was allowed to get the first vaccines and I'm still pissed about that since I drove by the closest vaccination spot every day for work and it was almost always empty. I lived in a very red area so it was very much a case of "doors are open but nobody's lining up" but I was still not part of o e of the groups they allowed to get one yet.
So yeah, I will be continuing to keep up on it, because that was the worst 2 months of my adult life, and I am absolutely certain I got some of the cognitive side effects of covid.
Same reason that I, as a generally law-abiding straight white male sometimes get the FLEE response.
I know how cops like to act, and the fact that I'm in close proximity to one who has their attention on me means my odds of premature death have gone up substantially.
I'm going out with a girl after work and we're gonna play in the park.
(It's my wife and I'll be riding my bike while she tries to get used to inline skates again. We're in our 30s.)
But for real I miss being able to just..... Enjoy a playground. Go throw rocks at the creek with friends. Have sword battles with sticks we found while walking by the trees.
But if I do that, people call the cops because some old guy is clearly confused and wandering around...
My wife and I have been visiting half Price books and thrift stores to find dvds and blurays.
Me because I like director/actor commentaries, and behind the scenes/making of features, her because she hates when streaming services cycle through content.
Also secretly I figure if the world ends and I'm somehow alive, I've got my solar setup and several ways to watch my favorite shows to escape the hellish reality that is post-apocalyptic earth as I slowly die from malnutrition or radiation. But that's like.... So far down the list, I usually just bring it up for the lols.
Legit my first thought was "why are we celebrating TV RATINGS like they somehow equate to voting?"
You can have 50,000,000 people watch the same TV show but not buy any merchandise. A lot won't even have the ability to purchase something from the show.
And I sure plenty of people watching last night won't be able to vote for one reason or another.
