  • Thank you so much for posting this. I wish that families were better and didn’t force gender norms. But I’ve found comfort in chosen family that helped me while I came out and they still help me.

  • Same the heat is so brutal. I haven’t been able to go out either without my head spinning and feeling like I’m going to collapse.

I’m glad to hear that it does help! I’ll have to give that a try and thank you for letting me know that it was helpful!

I hope you get to do some indoor exercises.

  • I’m facing a similar situation. I’ve been getting intense hunger cravings and it’s hard.

I’ve been trying my best to space out when I eat meals. I’ve been told from friends to eat small meals throughout the day rather than big meals.

I have yet to try this for myself and I’m not sure if it will be helpful.

  • Thank you and I agree! I honestly never expected any of them to change but they have been making progress and getting better.

  • Thank you so much! I’ve been crying with happy tears because of it!

  • My grandma has been more supportive of me as a trans woman and has been referring to me and calling me by the name I chose. It’s been making me really happy.

  • I used to in the past but I feel like lately it’s not as much. I use lotion a lot more since my skin tends to get dry a lot.

  • Oh I didn’t know that and thank you so much for letting me know! 😊

  • Agreed and she really didn’t feel like a character. Referring to hawk girl.

Yeah the female characters were not done well at all. Which is disappointing but sadly I feel like an issue with many superhero films.

  • I didn’t want to make a full thread on this but I’ve been meaning to get my eyebrows done DIY since I can’t afford to get it done at a threading place.

I feel like I don’t know where to begin with that but I want to try to learn and hopefully be able to do it somewhat well.

  • That’s a really good point and I had forgotten about the updates being behind. Thank you for bringing that up!

  • There’s a lot of good suggestions here and I wanted to add pop os! it’s a beginner friendly Linux distribution but with more of a focus on gaming.

  • I’m new here and not sure how to word things well but I’m a trans woman and I’ve been feeling a lot of dysphoria and anxiety with everything that’s been going on.

I’m trying to find some ways to stay positive though but it’s been rough.

  • I'm a fairly new user to Linux and I first got a laptop with Pop OS since I read that it was a beginner friendly distro and great for gaming. Although I didn't use it for gaming it was great to get to learn how to use Linux and use it for everyday purposes.

Later with lots of trial and error got Fedora Linux working on an old laptop with bad battery life that was lying around. I wanted to try my hand at a bit more of an advanced distro. So far I'm loving both distributions and learning more each day about how things work.

  • Really needed to hear this today. Thank you!

  • That’s so awful. I’m from the US also but live in a state that isn’t like this. I hope the move to the safer state goes well.

I wish you didn’t have to deal with this at all. I’m so sorry. 😔

  • As a trans person myself it makes me so happy to hear about your positive experiences. I’m also sorry that you live in a very transphobic place and I hope you can stay safe.
