[Bug] Signing out of an account shows empty UI

Hi

I've got multiple Lemmy accounts. I wanted to remove an account, so signed out of it.

This resulted in an empty account UI, no three dots to switch to an existing account, I had to close the app and start it again to see the account menu and then select an existing account to get it to work.

This is on the latest beta on Google Play

Steam Deck - Steam Deck Client Update: August 1st - Steam News
  • We have just shipped an updated Steam Deck Client to the Stable (default) channel.

General Improved library performance for users with large numbers of collections. Fixed a hitch that some players with large libraries might encounter every 15 minutes while playing a game. Fixed presentation and localization of items in the Special Offers section. Fixed notifications for achievements not firing when offline. Fixed a case where the wrong FPS limit could be applied on startup. Fixed a case where the controller input thread could operate at normal instead of high scheduling priority. Fixed styling on the login error screen and made the retry button accessible to the gamepad.

Library Added the ability to sort by date added to library to shelves and game grids.

Steam Input Added the ability to copy and paste mappings when setting up controller inputs. Improved navigation in the configurator when navigating from the Preview screen. Repeatedly going to Preview then an input will no longer build up loops in the back stack and you can now go back with a single B button press if you've not interacted with the left column. Fixed some cases where navigation changes from the previous beta could result in a blank page in the configurator. Fixed changing effects on PS4 and PS5 controllers when Steam Input is not enabled.

Desktop Mode Added In-Game setting to allow enabling or disabling display scaling in the overlay. Changed behavior of overlay tabbed browser to clear all tabs when the close button is clicked and added a minimize button to hide the browser as the close button previously did. Fixed wallet balance not updating in title bar when balance hits zero. Fixed incorrect display of "Notify me about additions or changes to my games..." setting in interface settings if it had never been changed before. Fixed a case where the UI would show the wrong image when switching between small mode and normal mode. Fixed main client window taking focus from other Steam windows when navigation menus are hovered.

Developer console Added a setting to display timestamps in the Steam console window. Changed Steam console window to keep the last several seconds of output even if that would exceed the normal buffer length. Fixed command echo sometimes appearing on the same line as the previous output. Fixed clear_console command not doing anything.

  • Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Is Getting A Huge Roadmap Of Content And Updates For 2023

Director’s Letter Vol.1 | Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

Team Ninja has unveiled a lengthy and detailed road map for its content plans for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty for the rest of the year, including numerous free updates along with two more upcoming volumes of paid DLC expansion content.

The roadmap begins this month with a free update adding a new Boss Rush mission along with balance adjustments and feature improvements, with the studio saying that these updates throughout the year have been planned with two major points in mind – “expanding the scope of strategy with a focus on action and RPG,” and “improving the ease of playability.”

You can see the roadmap below, which includes the release months for the Conqueror of Jiangdong and Upheaval in Jingxiang paid DLC expansions, and keep reading for Team Ninja’s complete update on its 2023 plans for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.

    Boss Rush Mission Part 2

We know you’re looking for more challenges, so we’re bringing you the second multiple boss mission! This feature was first added in the Ver1.08 patch in May, providing higher difficulty missions focusing on bosses that did not appear in the first mission. I hope you will take on this challenge, taking full advantage of the skills you have been honing on a daily basis.

And similar to the “Crouching Dragons’ Battle Royale”, this is a mission that can be played online, so you’ll be able to enjoy it through co-op play while aiming to clear the mission and earn rewards.

    New end-game content

In DLC Vol. 2 (coming in September), new end-game content separate from additional difficulty levels will be added. Further details will be released in the coming weeks, but we are planning end-game content that aims to be played repeatedly based on different ‘strategy’, which is one of the themes of Wo Long. In addition, we are planning further expansion through this end-game content so that DLC Vol. 3 can be played at a deeper level, so please look forward to it.

Major balance adjustments & feature expansion

When DLC Vol. 2 is released, we are also planning a major balance adjustment and feature expansion. As touched upon in the first section, “expanding the scope of strategy with a focus on action and RPG” and “improving the ease of playability” will be the main direction we will take as we make adjustments and/or additions to various features.

For example, in terms of action, this includes the strengthening the uniqueness of each existing weapon type, expanding Martial Arts and Spirit, raising each of the infrequently used action types, and adjusting the timing of cancelling actions. In terms of RPG, this takes into account adjusting the base of infrequently used Special Effects and reviewing how status is reflected. In regards to UI, we are addressing UI controls and flows that are not easy to use. These are just some of the things that we are planning in the coming months.

In advance of DLC Vol. 2, we are also planning for an update to make adjustments related to drops, as well as additional features. It will take some time before these are released, so please be on the lookout for upcoming information.

    Collaboration

Collaborations are planned in September with Lies of P, and in November with Nioh. The content we are considering will be different than what we have released for the NARAKA: BLADEPOINT collaboration. We are working hard on these partnership contents in order for fans of these games to be delighted with the outcome. I hope you will all look forward to some exciting things to come!

Optimisation and bug fixes for the PC version

We can’t talk about the future without talking about the past and present difficulties with the game. We apologise for the inconvenience caused to everyone playing the PC version of Wo Long since its release. I can assure you that the development team has read each and every report posted on various bulletin boards, social channels, our customer support department, and we have placed top priority on optimisation and bug fixes. However, there are many combinations of PC environments in each household, and while our team continues to expand the environments where the game is checked post-launch, it will take time to replicate issues and properly fix them. I promise that we will continue to make improvements so that you can play with peace of mind as soon as possible

  • Games similar to Ship of Harkinian?

    !

Hey, so I'm aware of SoH, Mario 64 and the Opengoal version of Jak and Daxter, but are there any other ports like those which can be played on Steamdeck?

    Connect 1.0.88 Released
  • Thank you! Foind it, testing it already. Sadly not entirely sticky, but it does appear after a little while, which is better than without the setting!

  • Connect 1.0.88 Released
  • Amazing work, thank you. One piece of feedback: I would really love it if the top navigation would be visible after a bit of scrolling up, not after scrolling all the way up to the top (if that makes sense?).

RiF did that, after scrolling about half a page up, the top navigation came to view already, making it easier to navigate between top, best, saved, etc, and to access your settings and profile.

    Would that be possible?

Sony has expressed an intention to flesh out its PlayStation portfolio with live service games and has invested $2.1B to see it done.

Sony Investing $2.1B In Gaming R&D, Focusing on Live Service - Insider Gaming

In a report published by Nikkei, it was revealed that Sony intends to ‘pour’ financial resources into gaming research and development – to the tune of around $2.13 billion. That’s reportedly an investment that’s being made before the end of fiscal year 2024, and it’ll account for a whopping 40% of Sony’s entire R&D spending.

Sony plans to allocate a staggering 60% of all PlayStation 5 development spending to live service games exclusively for the year ending March 2026. It was also stated that there’s a grand goal in place to have no fewer than twelve live service games in the PlayStation portfolio within that same timeline.

Exciting times for everyone in Live Ops I'm sure 😉

So I did a thing. I created a Games Release Calendar in GCal and .ics format, since I could not find a decent up-to-date one which listed games from PC, PS, XBO, Switch and PSVR.

Data is sourced from Gamesradar, Gameinformer and other sources. It is updated until early September, and I will add more regularly. Enjoy, please let me know what you think!
