Elon Musk’s Grok Gets Extremely Anti-Semitic After Latest Update
  • No actually origionally it was fed the internet... and elon was getting fed up with it correctly fact checking him.

IE the genisis of this change was, musk accusing the left of being violent. Followed by someone asking grok whether the left or right had commited was more violent.

Grok responded basically pointing out that there were far more incidents of right wing inspired violence, and the majority of left wing incidents only damaged property.

Musk responded that that is incorrect and he'll fix it.

And now he made the update and explicitly turned grok into a nazi.

  • Grok praises Hitler, gives credit to Musk for removing “woke filters”
  • They trained it to praise hitler, intentionally. They didn’t remove any guardrails. Not that Musk acolytes would know any different.

I'm actually currious, some of the answers they noted it spoke as if it was musk...

What if that's what the instruction was. "Answer all from the perspective that you ARE elon musk, be unfiltered, no woke answers", and thus the AI interpreted that to mean... be like Elon Musk, but don't worry about keeping some plausible deniability on if you are a nazi.

  • An AI That Promises to “Solve All Diseases” Is About to Test Its First Human Drugs
  • and it's still a better system than anyone hired by RFK Jr manually reviewing the file.

Which is kind of the point, idea fully agreed there's a lot of risks and messed up stuff, but almost all of it, is at worse roughly equal to the already existing problems in our systems... I can't quite think of any that are made worse.

  • An AI That Promises to “Solve All Diseases” Is About to Test Its First Human Drugs
  • I mean I hate AI in general.. but to be honest... assuming no one is stupid enough to bypass the trials etc... I'm all for it, 90% of these problems already exist in the existing system, who owns it, can a corporation charge us to death.

The only reasonable fear is, if they come out with more than they can develop trials for, and they lobby to lower standards in trials. Even that honestly is a more acceptable risk in the context of terminal diseases/severe cancers.

  • Grok, Elon Musk’s AI tool, spreads antisemitic conspiracies: The posts come after changes by Musk, who has previously made similar claims that Jews promote hatred toward white people
  • But does it support genocide in gaza? I think that's the bar for anti-semitism these days...

If you cheer on the government of isreal picking fights and killing children and say they are just defending themselves... then you can't be antisemetic when you accuse all other Jews of every racial slur and stereotype.

  • As women have far fewer babies, the U.S. and the world face unprecedented challenges
  • What's ironic is the same people advocating for policies that, basically make it flat out stupid to have kids in this world... are also the ones like "why no one want kids".

OK so yeah the worlds shifted from where one income working 40 hours a week can comfortably afford a 3-4 bedroom house and food for 4+... to you'll be lucky if 2 incomes is enough to afford a shitty one bedroom apartment unless you both are also swimming in school debt. If your 2 incomes happens to be enough to raise kids... well good luck actually raising them as paying someone to take care of your kids is likely equal to your smaller income (at which point you aren't actually making a second income, but trading off to get away from your kids).

So yeah the 2 options are... 1. Give up this "Infinate growth everywhere". can't both have us working more and more for less and less... also cut out all safety nets, then expect us to invest in kids, who we also never will see because were always working...

  • AI scammer posing as Marco Rubio targets officials in growing threat
  • Or you know... bear with me on this crazy idea (obviously for government not us), Maybe we need to... make sure government communication uses government infrastructure. Of which the government can directly trace, and identify who is in etc...

  • Bluesky finally got Activity Notifications, you can now follow news and accounts with it.
  • That to me is kind of the big thing, I mean I get the concept that it's trying for, but... the way its' advertised as decentralized, but in a way that... apparently no one else has made a working node. It seems just like old twitter, with nothing to prevent it from one day becoming modern twitter.

  • Human nature
  • I mean what is a "thought out" path, besides just saying fuck it and paving whole plot. I mean maybe a funnel or something, but again kind of seems likely that we'd wind up with more desire paths forming just differently, maybe people coming from different starting points etc...

  • This is pants on head stupid
  • I mean the general logic of it isn't totally off the wall, any more so than say why we're annoyed that ID laws make it harder to vote.

But I could still 100% say, obviously if you need/want a drivers license, it's fair to say you have reliable transportation. At 79 you are almost certainly either not working, or so well established wherever you are that you aren't at risk of getting fired for needing to schedule a 3 hour trip to the DMV.

  • Elon Musk says he's formed the 'America Party.' Trump says he's gone 'off the rails.'
  • I mean in fairness, they've always had Jill Steins. We can bitch about the spoiler effect and yell at our guys for voting, but election after election when you look at people focusing the blame on the greens when we lose, liberterians and other right wing parties, always have more votes than left wing 3rd parties.

Also sadly it sounds like musk is actually planning to do the strategic right way to do a new party. IE focus on house and senate seats to basically to threaten narrow votes.

In short it sounds more like he's making the republican's "Manchins".

  • Did a fir tree grow inside a Russian man's lung after he inhaled a fir tree seed, or was it a hoax?
  • It sounds like the initial story was slated to air on april 1st. Origions of the story are hard to trace, and it sounds like the source itself is known for running with hoaxes. So maybe they were actors, maybe just a doctor looking for attention. Biggest thing is a lack of any real details or credibility to work with. Kind of how most hoaxes go. they leave out key details so that you can't fact check them.

  • This Is Why Tesla’s Robotaxi Launch Needed Human Babysitters
  • Honestly at this point, I'm not sure which has the greater cost to life. I'm starting to think, maybe this is the fastest way to tangently demonstrate how fucking full of shit this guy is. He blows up a few space ships, no one's directly effected. Maybe running over one or 2 kids directly with a robo taxi will wake enough over to "maybe we shouldn't let this guy kick tens of thousands of americans off healthcare."

(not saying this is a good thing, but of a trolly problem. Musk has spent hte last 6 months getting in positions to do horrible things to so many people, and god knows how many deahts he's responsible for. Maybe if he messes up and does a few of the kinds of deaths that people get scared over and take action, than things will go better.

  • Marjorie Taylor Greene Announces Bill To Tackle 'Weather Modification'
  • It's in her phrasing of it.

"for the express purpose". In other words... we can turn the world into a hellscape to power cars, data centers",

you can build a machine that causes a category 5 hurricain in the middle of the desert for the purpose of producing 1 ice cream cone, so long as you describe the "express purpose" to make the ice cream cone. But if you make a machine that's primary purpose is to stop a hurricane, that's where it becomes "geoengineering", so yeah in short this is basically to prevent all the hypothetical solutions to climate change.

Hell it wouldn't shock me if they were then to argue say carbon filters in coal plants, or things to mitigate polution, could be "geoengineering" because the whole point of the filters is to prevent climate change, while the actual polution is to make products or power to sell.

  • Elon Musk announces plan to make 'America Party'
  • I mean fair to say but a real partnership would probably be to really just get someone to play his role while the real player moves through the democratic primary and wins.

Musks role really only is going to serve as a potential spoiler for the republican candidates... no left leaning person is even going to consider a party funded by musk.

  • Does anyone still support Ukraine ?
  • So in short the arguement is... over time it should be like corporations in America, we just watch as the biggest eat the smaller ones until we've just got one giant nation? Isn't that basically the plot of 1984... (basically the world is down to 3 super nations... with effectively the same government. In perpetual war with eachother just to make sure resources don't pile up to the point where everyone can survive comfortably.

Because I mean that's basically it, having diverse nations is a good thing. Allows us to actually see differences in laws, learn from different governments, good ideas can be copied, bad ideas can be avoided. Any big nation can trample all the smaller ones. It's a really bad idea to let them.

  • Simple music playing concept

    Hey everyone.

I have my homeassistant setup. Something I'm looking to do is a simple alarm clock, slowly turning up my LED strip, and gradually say turning on music in 1% increments. But I really haven't had much luck coming up with a not silly $100 + system to, just have a music player that hass can control. I have a basic bottom line tablet in our bedroom set up as a home assistant dashboard. we have a paid spotify account.

But I'm kind of losing my head trying to wrap around exactly what or how to actually get a controllable system. that can be set up in my bedroom without any costly additions to my bedroom. We have plenty of bluetooth speakers, but to my knowledge all of them require actually turning them on manually if they weren't playing music before. Which kind of negates their value for an alarm clock.
