  • GOG is eeking out a living on old games, trying to preserve them. Steam makes billions of dollars. I think it's unfair to expect that from them, don't you? The fact that Heroic is supported on Linux and can use Steam Proton is huge. GOG still gives you the installers. Do you want them to make every single old game compatible with Linux as well?

  • This. People will ignore a lot of ugliness as long as they're making money. If it's just about his financial success and not about what Musk stands for, it may be disingenuous to call him a Nazi sympathizer.

That being said, it's also true that most ways to make lots of money is on the backs of victims. If this is the part that is offensive to you, but he continues to embrace it even when the topic has been carefully explored, then you should do what helps you stay sane.

I just don't recommend abandoning friendships lightly.

  • Lots of us are getting older so it's harder to see on small phones. I'm gonna shill for those fold phones, honestly. Who needs a tablet when you can have this phone in your pocket? Full youtube screen with comments, outlook that lets you actually read the email while still seeing your inbox, tabs in your browser, folds up to let you use it as a regular phone when you're not looking for more.

Sorry, I can't go back at this point.

  • They didn't have to televise that part specifically, and Trump actually made a mention of 'why he's let this go on so long'. Trump thinks he knows how to make reality television xD.

This was all done to force Zelensky's capitulation to Trump's will, that's it. When that didn't work, he turned on the cameras and tried to make Zelensky look bad. Abyssmal failure, as are most of Trump's ideas.

  • Ukraine is ironically doing what Russia and North Korea set out to do, getting invaluable experience for their troops. Ukraine's soldiers keep leveling up while the opposition just keeps hitting new game. As long as they can be resupplied, Russia can be defeated.

I for one am hoping the EU follows through on building a European army, inviting Ukraine, and then curbstomping the bastards. It's not like Russia can say we're not allowed to bring in other help now, can they?

  • If y'all aren't already aware the first test date for Consumer Power is on Feb 28th. Don't buy ANYTHING on that date. Yeah, it's brief, it will probably be a blip, but this is like a test of the emergency broadcast system. If we can get say 2% of people to do that, then watch closely for reactions, it will help us spread the word for the 2nd test. Then the 3rd. It's only through this grassroots organization that we can accomplish anything.

I had a friend tell me that they'd already seen organizations trying to make it their idea and honestly, I'm not at all concerned about who is putting their brand on it. The POINT here is that we need to start exercising our muscles to make this a real tool for change. Stop focusing on that message and start embracing the larger goal here. Spread the word. RESIST.

  • What's funny is Ukraine used to be the place where Russia's nukes were made and maintained, so they literally had to hire Ukrainians to continue maintenance on their stockpiles. These guys already know how to MAKE nukes. I wonder how much of that factors into these recent decisons?
