Star Trek Is Showing More Love To Scott Bakula’s Enterprise
  • Originally sole canadian actress was hired to play Janeway...forgot her name, but you can see some original footage on YouTube, she was so bad as captain Janeway. Mulgrew took the character to a whole other level.

Personally enjoyed Voyager, skipping some episodes however, mostly those personal quests... And Neelix didn't bring much as well.

Enterprise was...meh. Learned to like it and by the third season it felt like they finally found the right direction. Loved the doctor in that series. And the theme song, my god who decided that. Awful.

Strange new worlds is great, feels like it has everything I expect from a star trek series. Atmosphere, decors, characters, theme song...

  • The Future of F1: Showcasing the 2026 FIA Technical Regulations
  • Nonsense. Many F1 drivers have complained about the size AND weight of these cars.

Only a 30kg reduction in 2026 is dissapointing. But due to technology and safety a larger reduction is a very hard/expensive gain.

  • That Lando jump start
  • You are forgetting the Carlos Sainz las Vegas incident. Car damaged due to track issues (some cover sucked out), needed to replace several parts, went over limit in spare parts = grid penalty.

Stewards acknowlegd this was not his/Ferrari's fault and thus had common sense, but the rulebook did not foresee any exceptions for this scenario. So they felt obligated to apply the rulebook.

This is a case where they also literally apply the rules.

  • 2024 Bahrain Grand Prix - [POST RACE] discussion thread
  • I went on to do other stuff around lap 35...I get why Max hates 24 races if you only need 12 or so to become WDC.

RBR already miles ahead and getting an update in round 4 (Japan). Grim outlook for neutral fans of the sport.

Congratulations to Max for winning his 4th championship.

  • Redbull seems to go (near) zero pod. I think Mercedes may lose their minds if the Milton Keynes crew have yet another rocket ship
  • Looks like RBR made some sort of 'hybrid' version of the 'zero pod' concept. The vertical radiator inlet is very much like what Mercedes had, but Newey did design very slim sidepods around it to create undercut.

Probably another rocket ship in a class on it's own. Newey...he's like the Albert Einstein of aero.

  • TECH ANALYSIS: What’s new on Ferrari’s SF-24 with the 2024 challenger ‘a big departure’ from its predecessor
  • We all want this to be good. Everybody also knows that Ferrari tactical is ready to shoot their own foot when situation gets hot.

Keeping expectations low anyway. All teams more or less 'copying' the design direction set by RBR, but copies are rarely better than the original.

  • Scuderia Ferrari for 2024
  • That's not gold, it's yellow. Besides the iconic red another historical 'classic' Ferrari color.

Mercedes probably the most underwhelming paint job of all teams because, well, no paint at all to be expected.

  • The AMR24
  • What's up with the front view left and right of the air intake. The oval-esque shapes. That's some weird optical illusion or is there really something going on there?

Stylish livery and brand continuety as aspected.

  • 2024 Liveries revealed so far
  • Wouldn't mind if F1 created a rule to make X percent of body surface obligatory painted.

The race to the bottom to add as little paint as possible (hi Mercedes) isn't doing much for the look of the cars.

  • Tesla Cybertruck's stiff structure, sharp design raise safety concerns - experts
  • Safety concerns...who would have thought? This cannot be an actual recent concern. Everybody could see the safety issues from the day it was unveiled...

Good thing safety regulation is the reason why we hopefully will not see this monstrosity on EU roads.

  • Google Chrome will limit ad blockers starting June 2024
  • On mobile I'm using DDG as primary browser. Firefox as secondary.

On my personal machine it's Firefox and Chromium.

For my job I use Thorium as main (switched coming from Brave), Chrome, Firefox and Edge.

Could do without Chrome any day.
