  • The Right's opinions are not fact based, so you cannot convince them with facts

Most rightwing supporters are driven by their emotions, and fall prey to fear mongering and emotional manipulation related to their already existing beliefs like racism and xenophobia.

To change emotional based beliefs you need to use compassion. They are not your enemy. They are misguided and manipulated souls that need help.

Treat them as your best friend

They won't be open to arguments if they think you're the devil. So you have to be their friend.

It's not necessary to explain everything to them. You can't change someone's world view in one conversation. Just show that you're a reasonable person that is trying to understand them. Gently ask them what their beliefs are and don't be confrontational. With a bit of time they will open their eyes by themselves.

Not easy. but I think that this is what effectively creates change.

  • This horny waifu game is selling my data for sure

The game starts with a personality test to "find out which cat girl is more compatible with you"

The game's name is Cat Fantasy. Standard horny waifu gacha game. Didn't expect them to be so direct with the data collection lol

    It's true.
  • All numbers are imaginary

They are a logistical concept, invented with the purpose of counting and calculating quantities.

Strictly speaking "Math" doesn't exist in nature.

Circles are not round because of Pi. A triangle's sides are not consistent because of the Pythagorean theorem. A thrown ball doesn't travel in a parabola because of Algebra.

Math is a tool CREATED to understand natural phenomena. Though its logistical power is so strong that it can be stretched to understand almost everything that can be measured.

If a tree falls in the woods it vibrates the air at an audible frequence. Your ears absorb the vibrations and send a signal to your brain that we understand as sound. But the tree never makes a sound. The tree exists and interacts with the environment. Your brain interprets some of those interactions as sound.

You can think of the numbers as the sound. You can understand them clearly, but they're just an interpretation of a natural phenomena.

  • Posting the shopping cart theory because people had questions in a separate thread
  • You're not looking at this correctly. No one congratulates themselves for returning the cart.

The point here is that the simple act of returning the shopping cart is the baseline of ethical behavior. This is just illustrating that society's individualism is so strong that this simple act of spending 10 seconds to keep the place in order is often ignored.

Of course people that return the shopping cart can be ignorant assholes as well. But the point is that this extremely basic act is severely lacking in society. Therefore we can't expect, as you said, more advanced ethical values. Such as using one's time and energy to promote changes to other foreign countries

  • X says it is closing operations in Brazil due to judge's content orders
  • Sure but in this case the judge is not censoring merely incorrect information. It's written in the article that I assume you haven't read

The judge ordered to remove the account of a militant group that attempted a coup after the party they support lost the election

This is exactly the kind of thing that should be censored. Anti democracy groups

  • The Great Awokening
  • It's all appeal to emotion

A good narrative is captivating. It's really simple and comforting to know that the world is good vs evil and you're on the good side. Those guys are on the devil's side and we must stop them at all costs or it will be THE END OF AMERICA!! ** Dramatic yelling **

It's easy to convince less educated people using fear and misdirection. What are they gonna do? Check the sources and think critically about the topic? Lol

Convincing someone that thinks you're their mortal enemy is difficult. That's why you have to be their best friend. Show them that you care for their opinion and ask them to explain to you. Show genuine curiosity and then give them something to think about.

"Hey, I see your point man, but I don't know enough about this so I'm not sure. Hey I've found this article that has some interesting points. What do you think?"

It's not easy but I think this is what really creates change

  • EU Joins Refusals to Recognize Maduro as Venezuela Vote Winner
  • Of course i would appreciate it if we stopped selling weapons.

The West is not perfect by any means. (and I noticed you skipped answering my question about dictators with EU support)

My point is that country leaders have limited influence. They can't influence everything like you seem to suggest

  • 'Borderlands' Is an Insult to Gamers, Movie Lovers and Carbon-Based Life Forms
  • Movie adaptations are Hollywood's equivalent of a tourist trap. Of course it will be crap 95% of the time

Adaptations from a work that originated in another format are difficult to pull off. But that's only part of why most adaptations are bad. Marketing knows that if there's a big franchise name in the title, the movie will turn a profit no matter how bad it is

"insult to gamers and movie lovers"

I've seen this sort of article written every time a franchise is adapted to a series/movie

Holy shit I'm so fucking tired of these. Will we never collectively learn not to fall for marketing stunts like these?
