I have the Unihertz Jelly 2, and I love it. It fits in my front pocket (when I have pockets, bc women aren't allowed pockets). It's easier to forget it's there, which makes me less likely to pull it out constantly.
She's right. It was hysterical.
At first I thought I was gonna be eaten by a grue.
I will join you in the celebration of no roaches.
New research has revealed that the children of Kathleen Folbigg each had genetic mutations that could explain their deaths.
I was unable to see my own posts until I checked "show read posts". I take it you're on desktop? Try clearing your cache; since incognito shows the posts, that suggests either a caching issue or a plugin/extension conflict, and the former is more likely.
I try to reserve downvotes for things that I think have negative value. If I simply don't like something, I ignore it and move on; just because I don't like it doesn't mean that it lacks value for others. If I don't understand something, and it's important enough for me to act on, I'd rather have a discussion and learn.
I'll downvote posts that don't fit the purpose of a community, or which were clearly posted to start an arguement. I'll downvote comments that are insulting, inflammatory, or otherwise malicious.
A cat scan is required to make sure that they're actually dogs.
There was no need to air out my personal business like this.
No one was around to squish that cat, so he squished himself.
The stuffie did not survive this game of tug-of-war (Apologies if this double-posts; I can't seem to get any posts of mine to actually stick)
Thanks for reminding me to stop biting my cuticles. My nails would look so much better if I weren't chowing down on them all the time.
Is the Rubik's cube a normal item for you to be carrying, or is it a recent thing? How many times have you solved it?
You can include pictures if you'd like! What's currently in your purse, wallet, or other everyday-carry container?
This is extremely well put-together. Much more useable than browse.feddit.de. Thank you for this! It should definitely be included in any guides for getting started with Lemmy.
"We need to discuss the third quarter. I swatted it under the couch and can't reach it."
This is beautiful, and very neat!
I thought it was just my social anxiety flaring up when I had new notifications. I never really thought about the fact that I was also avoiding negative replies. It'll be interesting to see how this goes here.
I love working with this chunky yarn. It's very soft, and works up quickly! It makes for a very plush blanket.
I like the community. I'm hoping that Lemmy doesn't turn into the cesspool that parts of Reddit became. I do have to refresh the page to see my posts and comments, but I imagine that there are some functional difficulties with scaling the platform to accommodate all of the people coming from Reddit.
As someone who always felt very overshadowed on Reddit, I'm looking forward to contributing more here.
Identity theft is not a joke, Jim!
I've noticed this as well, where I can't listen to something with words (podcast, someone talking, TV show, etc) while doing a crossword or other word puzzle. I never really broke it down to realize that it's likely because the part of my brain that processes language is completely incapable of multitasking.
I also have to avoid music with words while working; I'll end up typing out the lyrics to the song instead of the email response to a user that I'm supposed to be composing.
From what I'm seeing, Lemmy and the Fediverse are going to fill my social needs quite nicely, so I'm not sure if I'll ever make it back to Reddit.
