    "Laksa" I had in Singapore
  • It's a popular dish in Singapore and Malaysia, and also finds its origin in Peranakan cuisine as far as I know. It is a cocunut seafood curry with rice noodles, usually served with fish tofu, shrimps, egg and sometimes fish. It is usually served topped with cockles, laksa leaves and sambal.

While still quite unknown in many western countries (I think), Laksa paste (initial ingredient for making it at home) can be found more and more in Asian stores in the west.

One of my favourite dishes of all time.

  • "Bánh Mì Ôp-La Du Tbú" I had in Vietnam
  • It basically means "Two fried eggs with assorted meats". It's very simple, just some fried spam, tofu, veggies and a couple sunny side up eggs, served with fresh baguette. One of my favourite breakfasts of all time I have to admit 😁

If you're ever in Saigon, you can check it out here.

  • "Bánh Mì Ôp-La Du Tbú" I had in Vietnam
  • While for some people maybe not the most appetising dish to look at, this is still one of my favourite comfort breakfasts to this day. It's very simple, two fried eggs with spam, tofu, some veggies and fresh baguette. Highly recommended if you ever stumble across it on your travels.

  • Poached eggs benedict with crispy kale
  • FYI it seems to be patched now in the latest Jerboa version. No need anymore to add the image link to the body.

  • Buldak
  • Thanks!

  • Best retro gaming stores in Tokyo?
  • Perfect, thanks! I've added them all to my list. Hard Off seems to have multiple branches, so I guess I'll have to check them all 😁

  • "Satay/Sate" I had in Singapore
  • That's a good idea, I never tried making them at home. I'll give it a go!

  • Best retro gaming stores in Tokyo?

I've only been to Super Potato so far. I remember that when I posted some pictures in the old retrogaming subreddit from my visit, quite a few people said that SP is overpriced and for tourists.

So for my next visit I'm trying to do some research. Does anybody have any recommendations for retro gaming stores in Tokyo or anywhere in Japan for that matter?

  • Has anybody an idea how to get the thumbnails to work properly?

I the post here it says once using the 'Upload Image' function, that the image will show in the post and as thumbnail. The latter doesn't seem to work for me on Jerboa.

The only way that worked for me so far was to link the uploaded image (via the button) by adding the url as ![](IMAGE_URL) to the body of the post.
