Uh so you were replying to me on that thread and I don't think anything I said was hostile. You were saying something along the lines of covid being made in a lab and it causing more damage to people with weaker immune systems. And that the acronym MAGA should actually be MANIC (something about keeping nazis in power).

And people going to conventions nowadays are furthering this nazi control by allowing covid to spread. Have I understood that correctly?

More than anything I was just very confused about what you were trying to say. For what it's worth I think the ban was a bit excessive - I reckon the reason you were banned is because your comment was so out of place on what was a fairly innocent comic.

Yeah sure, masks aren't perfect but they're certainly better than nothing. And yes, people still catch covid (at least we have vaccines). Should we stop holding conventions forever though?

Yes this. And is a drug that makes you happy really science fiction? There are plenty that work on dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin receptors. Though I suppose happiness is something more nebulous and complex than a handful of chemicals.

Yes I think you're right - there's a lot of lead-up to christmas and it's usually a time where you come together over a few days. Whereas NYE is one evening, and it doesn't involve special food or presents etc. (just lots of booze)
