  • Always looking for good solo games, thanks! This one should do nicely to help satiate the urge to go out and hike a wee bit (it’s regularly over a 100°F here, too hot for hikes).

Edit: is there a way to pick this up yet? I see that it was a kickstarter project, and that they do not yet have it on their site.

  • I was looking through that list the other day myself. Here are some that I play and like: Onirim, Imperium Classics, Wingspan, Cascadia, Spaceshipped, Tin Helm, Gate, and, if you have a bit of disposable income, LCGs like Arkham Horror and Marvel Champions.

  • I subscribe to multiple communities for the same reason. In addition, the communities tend to be pretty small, and this helps me see the posts that might go under the radar if I otherwise were not subscribed.

  • We’re a Makita home, but I wouldn’t mind other nice brushless based tools from other brands. I’ve considered custom printed battery adapters to be able to make other brands compatible with my Makita battery investment.

  • I quite like Dicey Dungeons (a rogue-like, deck builder with a game show theme) and Dicey… Elementalists… which is also a rogue like, deckbuilder… I like this type of game clearly haha.

For local multiplayer, if you can get 4 people together, Spaceteam is always a hilarious time!

  • Excellent! I participated in a jam a couple years ago on itch.io, and though I got ahead of myself trying to learn enough Unity and Blender in one week to make a game and though the game didn’t come to fruition… I had a good time and learned a lot.

Looking forward to doing it again. In moderation.

  • In the event that our admins begin accepting donations, I’ve wondered how the server might be affected in the future if the number of users continues to grow but the funding can’t keep up.

You wouldn’t want to eject users, but the server usage and costs won’t simply drop. What are one’s choices in that scenario? Interesting thought experiment.

  • Good to be back, and glad to hear it was only a slow hug-of-death. Any consideration in upgrading the server version to 17.4?

Edit: are there any alternative channels where server status is posted?
