What happens, happens
  • Back in my more religious days, I used to go to a church down the road. One night 2 of the church members where cleaning the church. Mind you, small church, it was just the 2 of them. There are 2 doors on either side of the (main room?), where the preacher stands. The 2 doors were swinging doors, swing both ways. They randomly started swinging hard, bashing the walls simultaneously for 15-20 seconds. They ran out of the church and called their fathers. These are also my family members and I heard the story from multiple sources.

I also have another short weirdness from this church. We were feeding and hosting homeless people for a night. While standing and talking to one of the other church members, this door on the side of the building opened. Now, this door has an "outside hallway", spanning 15 feet and covered on all sides.

The door opened. I looked outside immediately, nobody there. It opens again after closing. I stick my head out, nobody there. It happens a third time, and mind you, the 2nd time I closed the door, I tested the latch and it was secure.. only a good turning of the door knob would open this door. The third time it opened, the fellow church member and I were staring at the knob, and saw it turn then the door opened. Again, no one was there.

  • Posts showing twice?
  • I'm having this issue too To the point where I will see the same posts by the same users and communities 3-4 times in a row, repeatedly. It didn't used to be this bad, but the past month or so, it's constant. My app is up to date.

I like jerboa, but it's to the point where I'm seriously considering other lemmy apps.

  • Damn. Way to come off rude. I also saw the way they were typing and the first thing that came to mind was that English isn't their native language. I can still understand the message they are conveying.

Sorry you were berated for "typos".

Come on dark thoughts, you can do better. Like it or not, we are all on this world together, and it costs $0 to be a decent person.

  • Ah, I've never heard about that. I lived in the woods in a camper around middle TN for about 5 years. The main things I had to deal with were mice, ticks, and chiggers. Only saw 1 snake on the whole property. But there were many cats, horses, cows, and dogs. So maybe that helped a bit.

  • Don't you tell me how to spend my Sunday afternoon. Reading up on knowledge I know nothing about, and don't really care about and will probably never use! Heh. I enjoyed the read, but like I said, I will most likely never use this information. I'm not sure why my brain just likes to eat random data.

  • As a plumber, I can't think of any shower drains that I've worked on being able to take something a half inch thick. Sure, I guess if you take off the overflow cover and go in through there lol.

  • [Bug] Long picture format images are blurry

When I come across images that take up more than my screen space, they are always blurry. Even opening the image and zooming, they will be blurry. I can download them and the quality is normal.
