TBH I think TNG did this very well with the Klingons (depending on who was writing the episode, of course). Like, some Klingons were Real Klingons(tm) but many others only gave lip service to those ideals and were actually as sneaky and cowardly as any other race. I think a lot of Worf's inner conflict came from realizing and processing that fact.
I'm going to add that the content on that comm almost certainly violates the deepfake ban that is going to get passed in the UK very soon, which carries a six month jail sentence. We do not want to mess around with that, so that combined with the general uncertainty over how the consent rule applies to it made it an easy call.

Oh, buddy, that's not something you should be asking an NSFW messageboard about. Porn isn't going to make that any better if you're struggling with envy and resentment. Unless you're a genetic 1%er, it'll probably make it worse. My advice? Find a good therapist. That's the most straightforward path to helping yourself.
Yes, that's called getting older. Happens to most of us that aren't genetic 1%ers after a certain age. Late 20s sounds about right -- maybe even a little late.

Envy is resenting another person for having what you think you lack, but the resentment comes from you, not from them. They are doing nothing wrong.
You feel resentment because you feel bad about not having something, not them having it. After all, if you both had it then you wouldn't feel bad, would you? It's a lack of self-esteem and a glut of self-hatred that you're really fighting. Resentment is just a projection of that feeling outwards instead of inwards. It's much easier to dislike them because then you don't have to confront what it is about yourself that you dislike.
It's ok to see someone and want what they have, as long as you can let that feeling go. Acknowledge it, embrace it, and then release it. Acknowledge that any negativity comes from how you feel about yourself, not them. Acknowledge this your self-hatred is a problem you can solve, and then do something to solve it.

Hi all, LemmyNSFW.com admin here. We're getting a lot of reports from this instance of posts from our instance not being correctly tagged NSFW, but they are showing as correctly tagged on our end. Could the NSFW tag not be federating correctly?
Hi all! Apparently there are a couple of Lemmy apps now where the "report" button is right next to the "share" button, and so we've been getting inundated with a bunch of reports that aren't actually real. One of those apps defaults to putting no text in the box where you're supposed to put in the reason for reporting, and the other one defaults to "Spam or Abuse".
We don't have the resources to go chasing down all bajillionty-twelve of those reports we're getting on the off chance that one or two may be real, so for the time being any report with either nothing or "Spam or Abuse" in the subject line will be swept into the circular file, unless we can tell just by looking at the post and not clicking anything (no nsfw tag, obvious off-topic spam) that it's a bad post.

Please stop reporting all OF models as spam. If a post is off-topic, report is as off-topic. If community rules forbid OF models from posting, report that. If a user is flooding a sub with multiple posts a day in a row, that's a legit report as well.
Otherwise a post by an OF model is not in and of itself spam, even if it is made by a <ferengi>female</ferengi> with the temerity to control her own sexuality.
Hi all! As promised, here is the proposed text of the newest version of the rules. The staff has gone through like eight drafts and literally thousands and thousands of matrix posts to get here, so please be kind. You can see @limeey's comment on the transparency post if you want more insight into how this sausage was made.
We are opening these rules to commentary from the community before they go into effect. To be clear, this isn't a vote, but we will take all community feedback into account and answer whatever questions we can before finalizing anything.
Please keep in mind that we are not Reddit, we do not have Reddit's resources, and safety and consent are our priorities.

Hi Lemmy.world admins! I'm an admin over on lemmynsfw.com. We've been getting a handful of reports on posts on our instance from lemmy.world users, all with the subject "Spam or Abuse", and in all but one case the post was neither spam nor abuse.
Could there be something weird with federation going on? It doesn't seem like malicious reporting and it doesn't seem to be following any pattern that we can tell. It's just weird.
About a quarter of the communities here have 0 posts in them. We're going to start pruning the 0-post comms in the next couple of days. If you have a comm with 0 posts that you want to keep alive, please make an on-topic post in it. Otherwise you're going to lose it.
