Holy crap, that Hazel looks gorgeous. Actually, all of it does. My wallet is safe as I've decided to concentrate on 1/144, but Shin's Zaku II is tempting. Love the ace/custom Zaku variants.
Well, there was certainly not much of a growth spurt in the years between BotW and TotK. I don't know if that interval has a defined time span, but you figure he's gonna be about 20 in the sequel. And he's still a wee lad.
Part of the dated theming is the manga going back to the mid-80s, where suitcase scooters fitting into fast subcompacts were definitely a thing for a hot minute.
This is really veering off topic, but a few years ago a third-party transforming toys company made an unlicensed YUA homage out of a repaint of their unlicensed Skids figure, and it is glorious (if not particularly fun to transform).
Many many moons ago I had a download of the original series that I never got around to watching. I've heard nothing but good things about the newer stuff.
