Yeah, with the Steam Deck being as good and cheap as it is, consoles hardly even have the "cheaper" justification anymore. Now it's just the artificial exclusives.
I'm pretty sure the flimsy plagiarism matter is just the lever used to oust her after her poor handling of the students calling for genocide. That looked real bad for the school in the congressional hearing. That or a way to oust her without appearing to pick a side in that whole mess.
There's a passage in the old testament that reads, "Though you soar like the eagle and make your nest among the stars, from there I will bring you down, declares the Lord" which sounds a lot like it's saying even the stars aren't out-of-bounds.
I'm in a similar boat and the most fun I had was hanging around the ship's bars playing games while everyone else was ashore. That was pretty great; I'd do that again.
Or worse... maybe they expect us to go down to the local warehouse and pick the items we want to buy off the shelves ourselves instead of having them delivered. Ugh.
So what else was in the bill that got it vetoed? They always hide some egregious nonsense in bills like this so if it gets vetoed they can point the finger and create outrage.
Last I'd heard, the EPA was still calculating these emissions on a per gallon of fuel basis instead of the only one that makes sense, per mile, ignoring the fact a gallon of diesel is capable of carrying a vehicle further, producing fewer emissions overall. They're also directly responsible for making US cars getting larger and larger thanks to poorly written rules that essentially penalize smaller vehicles.
So either the EPA is evil or just obnoxiously stupid at this point.
Isn't hyperloop like the opposite kind of transit to your typical public transit of the type he hates? Like, the only thing it can really compete with is airlines for long distance rapid transit.
