Also wouldn't surprise me if some of the mods took a cut to even let bots post on their sub.

What are you talking about? Did you read the report? On page 7 They directly say that C/C++ "lack traits associated with memory safety".

It isn't illegal but I'm not to sure that they will be selling voting shares to the average redditors. They tightly control who can actually make decisions.

Currently at least in the US we charge them less. This is usually due to something called Economy of Scale. As well as the fact there is more competition for Business energy. As well as the fact they are usually locked into a contract for energy. 1
