I had one in a mall yesterday! It was scheduled by my doctor 4 years ago and I guess it was finally my turn. I was sent to a private one on the government's dime because I didn't have to pay anything, probably because the backlog is so long. Quebec's healthcare system is not doing great.
Something I like to think about is when we die, assuming there's no afterlife, then you don't feel the passage of time. A second or trillion of years is the same. If there's ever a point in that future where you'd gain consciousness again somehow, then you'd feel as if you'd be there the second after you died. It doesn't really relate to black holes but I felt like sharing the thought anyway.
Makes sense, I'm in Quebec and that's what feels right to me but I didn't realize it was different elsewhere, it explains my confusion in Internet conversations
