Weird Knife Wednesday: Cold Steel AD-15
  • Yes, the spring on it is too stiff and is hard to operate. But it turns the knife into a sort of gym for hands, and after some time, opening and closing the knife one-handed becomes easy. It's my favorite lock so far (I haven't tried Shark Lock yet) and I like it more than Axis Lock and Compression Lock. I only wish the knife scales were smoother, like on Demko AD-15.

  • If Knife Reviews Were Honest
  • His edge retention "test" shows there's not that much difference, and a $40 knife is ok relatively to the more expensive one. But S30V is one of the main reasons why PM2 is more expensive, and this steel really makes a difference. In my experience, in terms of edge retention, any super steel is much better than a cheaper steel. While AUS8 dulls very fast from light use, CTS XHP, S30V, S35VN, M390 etc. take forever to dull. I have knives I never sharpened because they are still sharp.

P.S. Maybe we should be less serious about this video. But the author told it's not a joke, so I don't know if he's serious or still joking.

The Day Before studio say the game's downfall was thanks to "a hate campaign"
  • This game looked like a scam before release. The developers copied art style and their trailer scenes from other games, and never shown gameplay videos. In the trailers it looked like AAA, but was developed by a studio without required experience. There were doubts the game existed at all. Well, it existed, but was far from what trailers shown.

  • Are all programming languages based on English?
  • Yes. Although it's possible to learn programming without knowing English, English is required for those who wants to be good programmers. All documentation is in English, naming and comments should be in English too, otherwise it would be hard to maintain code for developers from other countries.

  • If you only criticize civilian casualties when Palestine resists, then your concern isn't civilian casualties. Your concern is Palestine resisting massacre.
  • Casualties? Hamas wanted to kill as many citizens of Israel as possible, no matter of what nationality they were. Even tourists were killed. Casualties are about bad luck, but Hamas victims were murdered because of evil intention. They cannot be compared to Palestinian casualties in any way.

  • Why is firefox losing market share? Why don't more people use Firefox?
  • Some time ago Firefox started eating tons of RAM. I googled a bit and found it was actually AdBlock Plus eating RAM, so I switched to uBlock Origin. But not all people switched to another extension, some of them switched to anotger browser.

  • Other species don't need clean water, clothes, complex tools and growing food. This makes their life simpler yet limits their number and habitat.

Try to live in a village growing own food. It's a hard work, especially if you have cattles or other domestic animals. Villagers work from early morning to evening because there's a lot things to do. Living in a city is much easier.

  • Landlords should have to pay income tax on their rental properties regardless of whether they're rented out or not.
  • In this case landlords could just pay some money to fake tenants to make their rentals appear occupied (at a ridiculously low price). Rental prices could even rise because of free rentals number reduction and necessity to cover additional expenses.

  • Blocking vs filtering

What's the difference between block user/community and filter user/community? Why do we need filtering feature if we can block?

    Infused coffee

How do you like infused coffee? On one hand, it has unusual flavors, on the other hand, those flavors are added. What is more important, experiencing an unusual taste or drinking good coffee instead of the flavored one?
