I found Lemmy through Reddit because of the protest. If anything, it works.
Looks like a lobotimized model lol. What're your system specs and which checkpoint are you using?
Dummy, just use the S off-screen!
🎶Understand (understand) the concept (the concept) of LOVE🎶 UNH!
When you find out who is asking for it, it makes more sense.
None of the megaguides I've seen actually show how to use the mobile apps/sites. I've been told what the Fediverse is and how it works enough times to build the backend myself, but I have no clue how to navigate.

I'm pretty far from Marxist myself, but I gotta say, I can't see a system like Lemmy coming up at this point in the lifecycle of the internet except through that kind of ideology. I'll gladly verbally bitch-slap a tankie for their pro-Putler bs, but the fact that an alt-right instance can (and probably does) exist is proof that true freedom of speech can exist only on a free and open platform like Lemmy. Fuck whatever Elon thought it was.
But man is he beating around the bush about that. Sprinkling "but Apollo won't play ball :(" to shift the blame. Fuck Spez.
I was referring to mobile apps, which are notoriously difficult to filter ads from.
It is interesting to see people flock here to celebrate values that they don't politically espouse. I am not a marxist myself, but I don't think we would have anything close to this product without such an ideology, and it's just as ironic to see a few alt-right instances floating around. The human experience is complicated, to say the least.
First post on the glorious Fediverse. I joined the moment the protest start, and I have to say, I have yet to see a single advertisement, targetted or otherwise, sans a few honest (fedditors? Don't hang me) offering commission work. I was born just in time to see the death of IRC and the birth of targetted advertising and social media headed by corporate interest. Mark my words, Lemmy, I ain't going back. I really hope this is the start of a shift to a renewed, decentralized internet.
PS. Who do I donate to? Is there a patreon for Lemmy or general instances?
I've been using jerboa for my reading, but it kinda sucks trying to find communities from scratch. Is there a macro-wrapper that I can scroll all the popular instances from alltogether? I'm on android mobile 99% of the time.
