I'm chaotic good
  • True Neutral at home.

Chaotic Good at work because I need a second screen but can't get a matching screen yet.

  • Urban communities that lack shade sizzle when it's hot. Trees are a climate change solution
  • It's been a trend in my town to cut down shade giving trees because their leaves are too much maintenance to clean. When in reality they don't want to pay someone to use a leaf blower for 20 minutes.

  • What movies can you rewatch often and not get tired of?
  • The Coronetto Trilogy from Edgar Wright

    -Shaun of the Dead

    -Hot Fuzz

    -The Worlds End

  • Where do the rural homeless near you live?
  • There's a camp in the bushes behind our local bar. The bar is near a boat harbor as well so there's water faucets where they usually shower. It's a relatively small camp with about a dozen or so residents.

  • Omnipresent AI cameras will ensure good behavior, says Larry Ellison
  • He proposed a shitty Art Park on Lanai, the island he bought the majority of, and wanted to set up surveillance to stop "vandals".

Worked on the plumbing for the fountains he wanted to building. Those surveillance measures never came to be, yet...

  • If there was any object in your life that was cursed, what would it be?
  • My In-Laws house has some BAD juju for sure.

-Had an uncle pass away in it

-Multiple pets run over in the driveway

-Bad experiences living there when we moved back home and we looking for a place

-Bonus Room flooded MULTIPLE due to MIL not understanding how retaining walls work.

Just a cursed place in general and I'm glad I'm nowhere near that house.

  • ELI5 How come it seems now the old wise tale of Vietnamese eating pets and now its immigrants into the USA?
  • The "immigrant" group to shit on changes every so often where I live.

But when it changes the SAME rumors get saddled on to the new group.

"X group eats pets, better be careful around them."

"Y group will take your dog and butcher it. Better be watchful"

  • What movie have you rewatched the most?
  • Napoleon Dynamite, loved that movie in High school and it's been a comfort movie ever since. Funny and easily quotable, it's a staple in my house.

  • Bread
  • I was in the "tie a knot" camp for YEARS. Laziness just moved me into reusing the bread bag clip.

  • Earbuds
  • In my experience. Once you pass $100 Bluetooth rarbuds it drifts onto diminishing returns territory. Once the Active Noise Canceling feature started to get passed down to sub $100 earbuds then the more premium ones started to look less and less appealing unless you hop on a good sale.

The IEM selection has been getting pretty good lately as well.

  • Earbuds
  • The ease of pairing Bluetooth headphones lately is pretty nice as well as not having to run a wire up my shirt to avoid snagging.

I do look back kind of fondly on physically plugging in my headphones and just having it work.

  • Why is there no Christmas version of Spirit Halloween?
  • There's this one storefront where I live that's basically unused for the year. But once Thanksgiving comes near the owner of the building will stock it with Christmas decorations and trees for the town to buy. Locally we just call it the Spirit Christmas version.

  • Pixel 6 Pro to Pixel 9
  • I was looking into giving GrapheneOS a go. I will likely give the phone a go for a month or so and install.

  • Pixel 6 Pro to Pixel 9

After having the XL versions of Pixels before this one, the size isn't so bad. Its usable in one hand and I've been really liking the flat edges/screen.

The battery is almost the same as my 6 Pro toward the end of its life.

The display resolution looks really good in person. I really appreciate the brighter screen so that more than makes up for the lack of sharpness compared to the 6 Pro.

Cameras are great as usual for these phones. I didn't realize how many features they added on to Pixels since the 6 line.

The AI features are gimmicky and I'll just leave it at that.

A solid 8/10 phone for me. Definitely feels like an upgrade even for a base model.

    How's everyone liking/disliking theirs?

I'm just lost and I'm looking for happiness
  • The way me and my friends just turned into apes whilst playing games in the same room together is a feeling I miss.

We all still play online occasionally and still have fun but having the whole room drop laughing when someone hits a bullshit headshot is a hoot.

  • What's the weirdest compliment you've ever received?
  • "You're very handsome for an Asian man." - My girlfriend's mom

Just one of those that confirms someone's biases.

  • Borderlands is failing already.
  • Not surprised. But with some better writing this could've been at least somewhat decent. Love the games and there are lots of stories to tell there.

  • (32/M) Office Accountant Carry

    All kept in my bag.

    L to R:

Acetaminophen (math is hard), Car Keys, Leatherman Signal, Pixel Buds Pro, Generic leather wallet, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel Watch 1, Spare Pixel Watch Band for hikes.

Favorite bands for the Pixel Watch (1&2)?

Been really liking the OEM Stretch bands from the Google Store. Great for daily use and sleep tracking. Pretty expensive so I waited for a sale.

A retired build in one of my favorite cases. The Meshlicious.

280mm AIO kept the 12600K ridiculously cool. Custom 3D printed feet so I wouldn't need to buy a right angled displayport adapter.

Eventually bought a bracket to get a 92mm fan mounted at the top of the case to keep the 3080FE cool in this sandwich layout.

    !Top fan installed
