Would you believe that the Chinese often over sell their scientific achievements? Well, for every 100 legitimate Chinese scientists, you'll have a batshit insane or bold face liar "scientists" that makes the headlines. I had to debunk an "invisibility cloak" that fooled my friends a few years ago.
I didn't hate Into Darkness, but felt that it should have ended with Khan leaving with his crew in the Dreadnaught. He got his revenge on high command and should have given Kirk a choice between saving his crew and bringing him in. It would have tied well with Crew is Family theme and given us an anti hero for future movies. I swear, that had to have been a dropped plot line at some point. The reference to the Dreadnaught being designed for a small crew set it up for Khan to steal.
A friend asked for some computer help and when I asked him to replicate the problem, he closed the error window before I could read it. I think that was when I gave up helping people with their computer problems.
There's an episode of Space Ghost Coast to Coast where the guest makes a transphobic joke and Space Ghost just stares at them, which is his default behavior given the nature of the animation, but I choose to interpret it as disapproval.
Paw Patrol is a regular length cartoon with a real, albeit basic, plot. I'm talking Cocomelon or Five Finger Family or other short form shit.
I don’t know a toddler parent that has the time to download a curated media library for their kids
No. Curating what your child consumes, both dietary and cultural, is the basic requirement raising a child. It takes very little tech skills to download files and load them on a device. Even just an old school portable dvd player and a disc wallet is preferable. The point isn't to cut all media, but to cut the short form shit the drains attention. Even a show with a plot that takes ~22 minute to get to the end teaches some degree of patience.
So don't give a tablet then. Or if you do, don't have Apps like that. Get an wifi only android tablet, install VLC and specific shows and games. Real games and real shows. Not short form shit or bs mobile "games".
Most of those devs are probably freelancers or from hired studios doing esoteric work. It's still crazy to see these numbers when most of the games I play are indie and have tiny credit listings. 450 people could make at least ten of the games I play.
Depends on the target age demographic and how organized the Heroes are. In the MCU, the Avengers were operating investigation and acting in foreign countries without consent. I was in agreement that Sokovia Accords were reasonable and if a hero had an issues with "taking an order they disagreed with", they thought they would be forced to compile when every civilized military has a conscientious objector clause. In Justice League Unlimited, I pissed off a lot of fans when I said that Waller was right to be concerned that the JL were operating a space laser that could be used on the earth. I don't like how writers always give her really bad plans though.
Justice Gang stopping an invasion? Now that was cathartic to see.
Some writers understand the rightwing problem with superhereos and either avoid it or address it. Some people give Batman some billionaires to fight. Other times, they reinforce the rightwing problem with whatever the fuck Frank Miller was doing.
Yeah, this is just a different version of that meme Musk likes.
