  • Not sure but there's also not a lot female metal musicians, but I have a feeling that's changing more and more. Prolly just because rock n roll used to be a manly guy thing? I can imagine similar things used to be like that in hiphop?

  • Yeah tbh, AI has been an insane helpful tool in my analysis and writing. Never would I have been able to do thoroughly investigate appropriate statisticall tests on my own. After following the sources and double checking ofcourse, but still, super helpful.

  • Oh that's sounds nice. Not sure how to word it well, but: is that a bit interesting to do long term? Is it following the advancements in science in a nice tempo? Do you have room for innovation yourself?

  • Manager in the neuroscience lab where I did my PhD. Actually pretty nice because I know the lab and everyone so we'll I can often do the management in a few hours and then just focus on my research (finishing my thesis because behavior plus in vivo neurophysiology takes more like 7 years instead of 4 lol). Although, there can be some very stressful moments, big grants or so (and my boss is one of those breathing-science profs that will msg on WhatsApp on the weekend or days off lol, but yeah fuck that). I learned that I'm not good enough/invested enough to actually become a PI or prof, so this management stuff is pretty nice on the edge. I don't have the responsibilities but my opinion is often respected due to my research experience in the lab. Pay is shit tho.

  • Same, really want to switch, and I think after finishing this project I'm done with windows and Google. Not gonna lie, I dread switching agenda, drive, mail, maps... A lot of fucking useful stuff that I use for everything, but I don't just want to think they are too big to fail. Fuck their behaviour.

  • Yeah good point. The only reason we flew to Phuket was because we went diving from Khao Lak, and we just decided to sit out the jetlag for a bit close to the airport. But yeah, lucky (maybe?) that we found a nice spot. Would visit it again if I ever flew to Phuket again.

  • Tbh, i stayed on Phuket island on the north west-ish side, not in Phuket city, and I thought it was really nice. Near Naiyang beach i believe. Not a lot of people, still nice beach and some food and drinks etc nearby. Heard terrible things off the city but i guess the island itself can have its moments.
