  • Musk also has a private army of security contractors (and someone like him probably has mercenaries off killing people in other countries too)

he's far too much trouble to go after, if you're DHS, regardless if you're Trump DHS or Democrat DHS. someone like that is ungovernable.

  • You dont have to look back very far to determine how this started on a low level, this is just aggresive inaappropriate counter-culture , 4chan internet troll, basement dwelling shitheel behaivor from the 90s and 00s but carried over into adult life

Contrarians will always be contrary, so I guess being contrary to a boring "regime" that didnt particularly say or do anything except for ask for generic human rights for everyone, means cosplaying as the most offensive thing you can think of because it makes them mad, Cosplaying as Nazis and even doing the same thing the Nazis did with randomly and incorrectly co-opting norse iconography.

  • Yes, Tankies bad. Tankies and Fascists can be bad at the same time.

The worst part is a lot of Tankies are carrying water for Fascists, (Russia) and dont even realize it because they're blinded by hating America or loving some fictional version of Russia that hasnt existed for 40 years (or arguably, ever)

  • the Military command is already aware that it's basically in a de-facto war with Russia and it will likely be with China in the next 10 years or less too. hell things with Russia could kick off for the worse any day.

and people like Kegsbreath are essentially trying to pivot the Military into fighting the Culture War, instead of fighting the real war thats starting to unfold.

  • No, but theres now a nonzero chance there's a Military coup against Trump,

the vast majority of the people in that Quantico gathering, are probably keenly aware that America is already more or less locked into a state of conflict with Russia and China, the war is already on and its just getting more kinetic as the months pass.

and then this coked out fuckwit brings them all together just to tell them he wants them to take their eyes off Americas actual enemies, the Russian Mafia State, the CCP, Iran, North Korea, etc. and to divide their attention to help stomp on what is essentially culture war enemies of the conservatives.

when you're already in the opening stages of WW3, Your enemies arent liberals or conservatives, educated and intelligent people especially those who are senior officers in the military dont think along those lines. this is just a radical civilian government asking the warfighting people to point their guns trained on the Russians and Chinese, and turn them around and point them at political opponents.

Trump's gang is essentially trying to do what Putin did in the 90s, and I dont think anyone in the command of the military is keen to actually put a Molotov to the country, unlike the Sycophants who all they do is talk to cameras and shitpost on twitter all day.

  • hundreds of senior officers most of which are probably keenly aware that America will possibly be at war with China in the next 5 years, and with Russia uncomfortably sooner. And this cokehead carted them all to Virginia basically just to do hyper conservative virtue signaling like it was an election campaign.

  • This question has two answers.

the game that practically changed your life in terms of how it affected you.. and the game that made you change the way you think.

For practicalitys sake, the game that had the most change and influence on my life was, ironically, Second Life. Just through the people I met and experiences I had over the course of the 15-16 years I played it.

I cant really tell you what one had the most profound impact psychologically, I was going to say the Sims or Fallout for the impact they had on like, how I see people vs how I see society. but Im gonna cop-out and go with Mass Effect 2 and 3. since The story is such an "epic" in that it tackles so many philisophical and existential questions, Mainly revolving around what living beings, and in some cases, individual heroes do in the face of death. the whole story is a broad tale of Machines vs Organics, but its done in a very doomsday/armagedon tone. stretched across a sci-fi galaxy instead of just talking about humanity.

  • Just an observation.

Things have been looking for a while like its going to be a Provoked Insurgency

what I mean is that when you have all three levels of the federal government, and you start attacking people. like actually attacking not just mouthing off to the microphones. you put your victims into a situation where they have no choice but to actually use violence and fight back, because doing nothing is a death sentence.

if the rhetoric stays firmly on the Paranoid Delusion Mouth Breathing Talking in Tongues Ultra MAGA level. thats where we're gonna go. People talk about Civil war all the time and get hyped... but what are you gonna do when you GET Civil War? Bitch that the internet is out and then starve to death?

  • Its miniscule.

but I think after all those commanders getting corralled into what was essentially a coked out political campaign event. and listening to all the dumb shit that was said with 100% seriousness.

I think the chances of the Military doing a Coup against the US (Trump) Government, just rose from Zero, to nonzero.

  • for no particular reason last night, I pulled my 2009 windows 7 laptop out of the grave and fired it on, and after I got through the wave of Smart errors and CMOS messages, When I opened up Chrome, not connected to internet, the cached version of google was still using its late 2000s early 2010s appearance. and it made me very sad.

I live in a rural area and our only local station plays that kind of stuff non stop, I'm not a religious man by any means, but thank god for Spotify and Sirius XM.

  • I believe it because thats the same track that was run in America.

and more often than not, if you follow the trail of how that got stirred up in the media and online, it usually leads back to Russia anyway, who would have guessed.

  • Im a lifelong democrat who lives in the beautiful warm water port city in California

Russian and Chinese bots used to out themselves with weird cultural misunderstandings of western countries all the time

  • Republican America is just English speaking Russia.

Russia decriminalized spousal abuse in the 2010s and it directley led to a wave of women losing their lives because the police didnt even bother showing up when their partners were beating the brakes off them.

Legally, Russia changed domestic violence from a criminal offense (under Article 116 of the Criminal Code) into an administrative infraction with only fines or short detentions for "first-time, non-serious cases."

and if you can believe it, the champion of this "conservative, traditional values" policy, was a woman.
