At my last job, each Thanksgiving they'd give everyone a turkey sandwich from some catering company. It came with a little ketchup cup sized thing of potato salad,babs a pickle. you could opt for a veggie alternative. They would charge you 20 dollars for this on your next check.

The highest paid employee made 8.75.

I opted out.

I am unreasonably excited about this. Where I live, there's no decent options for Internet or cell signal. Which means normal calling/texting doesn't work, and regular Wi-Fi calling/texting is choppy at the best of times. My whole family uses WhatsApp for everything. I'm hoping I can get them to switch to something like this once it's stable.

Used to do property preservation (cleaning out foreclosed homes), and would use a male-male to get power from the generator around the house. I've never felt so much fear as when hooking those things up. I was as safe with it as possible, which is, obviously, not safe enough. But my dad now knows that's possible, and I've caught him trying to do similar since, and it scares the shit out of me, because he's the type that thinks some duct tape around a frayed extension cord is good enough.

Kinda related, I've been saying for years we need more "the gravity plating is out" episodes where everything is floating around, bumping into shit, causing problems. We got one scene in enterprise and that's it. :/

Looks fantastic! You did a really good job, and just in time for Christmas. How long did it take you? I did a similarly sized one as my first project and it took my like 3 years because I kept forgetting about it. Haha.
