Would We Recognize Extraterrestrial Technology If We Saw It?
  • That would be the safest and easiest potential to imagine, but have you thought that all the Doomsday alien movies indicate to us and our ecosystems supporters so to speak, the greater likelihood and potential for armed conflict when or if we were to come into contact with another intelligent alien species?

One is preferable, however unlikely, the rest of the movies and imaginary scenarios tell us that we've a greater likelihood of it not being the case.

  • What is your most controversial opinion?
  • We're the healthiest and smartest generation in the last hundred or so years on average per person, yet due to a variety of systemic factors we're all totally handicapped to producing positive changes towards helping one another let alone many, and it's largely down to our systems being completely shit.

  • Greens keep ignoring energy density and therefore land use to make the case for a "greener" 100% wind/solar/hydro grid
  • Good point you make here, for those of us living in cities, solar would be more difficult to scale as a solution, however I'm a strong believer that with the energy market potentially coming to the mainstream with gas stations building EV chargers that industrial scale solutions can be built to supply demands, people will simply find and think of new ways to harvest energy
