I previously asked on AskMbin@thebrainbin.org on how to migrate my account to a different instance as I got a error saying "email not verified" after completing my email verification (original post here: https://kbin.earth/m/AskMbin@thebrainbin.org/t/1532246). This made question the security of kbin.earth. And now, I can't enable 2FA! It says "Error enabling 2FA for account"! Seriously what the hell is going on in kbin.earth? To the developer of Interstellar- You shouldn't have made kbin.earth the default instance when signing up from the Interstellar app if your instance has some serious security issues! I need answers NOW!
I wonder if the error you got is related to the federation issues the site had yesterday. He ended up reverting some changes and maybe you got caught in it.

I thought about it too. A social media platform having technical errors in the most crucial parts of the onboarding process doesn't inspire much confidence in me. Guess I'll quit Mbin altogether. I quit Shittit (Reddit) and Shitmmy (Lemmy) this morning. Guess Deadbin (Mbin) is next.

There is some data on here and I don't want to leave it on an instance which I feel is compromised on security levels. Isn't that the whole point of migration on Mbin? Taking your data with you. The only thing I can do currently is enable 2FA. But I still fear my account might be hacked.
A while back I saw a post on Shittit (Reddit) on r/fuckcars supporting "peaceful protestors" burning Tesla cars. Not only the OP but all the comments were supportive of it and encouraged that behaviour. I get the whole hating Musk thing, I hate him too. I started to see his real self when he did the bitcoin pump-and-dump in 2021, I lost a considerable amount of money because of him. Before that event I saw him kind of an revolutionary business man. Since that event I just him as a grifter lookong for new ways to earn more and more money. So anyway back to point, posts like this make the average joe who doesn't know much about fuckcars movement think they are "extremists" advocating for violence against car owners and their vehicles. I hate Musk, but I don't support and advocate for burning of innocent people's hard earned car. Tesla is still considered a "premium car", many people buy it on monthly installments. Imagine buying your dream car on installment and some random wacko set it on fire just because the guy behind the company started supporting the other party. Before the Trump-Musk relationship, Tesla used to be a "liberal" car since it was electric and liberals love EV's. Deciding to turn against the car company you once loved and to the point to setting innocent people's cars on fire is just ridiculous! And also, I saw a lot of "jealousy" and "sourness" towards car owners in r/fuckcars. Things like these made me avoid the whole movement. I want to move my Mbin account from kbin.earth to another instance because I think the security of this instance is compromised. I used Interstellar to try out Mbin and when I tried to sign up in the app it defaulted to kbin.earth when choosing the instance (I think this is due to Interstellar's app developer is fond of this instance. They even have a magazine on this instance!) when I completed my email verification it threw an error which said "email not verified". I was like "What the fuck?! I just entered the code which I got in my mail and completed the email verification and here it is saying email not verified. Somethings janky!". And, to note another point, my email provider flagged the email containing the verification code from kbin.earth as spam! I'm able to normally browse, comment and post on communities and magazines which wouldn't have been the case if my email was really not verified. Anyway I no longer feel safe to be in this instance anymore. When I went to settings on kbin.earth I couldn't find any option for instance migration. Could anyone please help me?
