  • Switch to 2x4, make sure the ones on the bottom (known as 'runners') are standing on edge. Then use 3" coarse thread screws to attach the slats. We build them like that at my workplace to ship and store drums of material that are 1600 - 8000 lbs per pallet. So unless your machines are more then 2000lbs per square foot, you should be fine. The important part is to mark the center of gravity, NOT the center of the machine. As long as the pallet is lifted at CoG, it should move around just fine.

  • Quick summary here;

    Lots of people, mostly under 25 from the looks of them, threw buckets of popcorn all over when the Chicken Jockey appeared. The movie was paused by the theater and identified offenders where escorted out.

    Honestly people, just control yourselves. This is a kids movie, for crying out loud. It really screams "look at me, I'm a rebel and cool!" in only the most desperate way. I'm glad none of this happened at my local theater, we all just got to enjoy the film and share a laugh or two.

  • I agree, the nature of the convictions should be a factor. I also agree that a sort of "cooldown" from a conviction would be reasonable, before having eligibility for holding political office restored. I've been leary of the simplified "convicts shouldn't hold office" statement though, since the original intention of that lack of disqualification criteria was, to my understanding, to prevent political imprisonment from barring opponents from holding office. That seems like the sort of thing the current administration would jump on if they could, as well.

  • I don't have an issue with a public servant holding office and having a criminal record. People make mistakes, and people can change. However, I think the fact the current president has made public and copious comments about dismantling the democracy that exists while showing a blatant disdain for the rights of people, that I have an issue with.

  • The problem arises when the person giving those orders authority hears "By order of the king" instead of "by directive of the president".

    The US doesn't want a king, it was a big deal here about 250 years ago. Looking like it's gonna be a big reminder for the 250 anniversary.

  • That's the only reason I'm not attending, I don't have anyone to watch my kids that weekend and it would be irresponsible to bring a 6 year old to something that could break into violence so easily. One cop or bad actor who pushes the crowd wrong...

    I wish I could be there, but instead I'm going to teach my kids about what's going on and why the protests are happening. With video, if I can find any livestream of it.

  • Unless they're in the same stall, no privacy is being violated. And if they are in the same stall, that's a whole different matter anyway.

    No reasonable person would be bothered by this, only these fascists and their ilk.

  • Because in that syphilis riddled brain, the orange-blunder has had the brain-shart concept slip out of the diseased sections and into what passes for a consciousness, that by only having a state line, there is no border, and so he will have solved "the border crisis". This is not a rational human being we're dealing with, it's a geriatric puppet-dictator who very likely has some form of degenerative brain condition.

  • Thank goodness, I'm embarrassed that the walking cheeto would melt down like that while holding one of the most prestigious offices in my country, although unfortunately I'm not surprised by it. I'm glad Ukraine has other places it's leadership can turn too in this time of need. Sadly, I can only hope that the dark spector of mortality does it's work swiftly in the oval office and this geriatric orange is done for good sooner rather then later.
