The main problem with A.I. isn't that it can't be a useful tool, it is that the creators can't resist the urge to take the opportunity to hoover up every bit of data they can from the users. That and they are spending billions of dollars in A.I. creation. You don't spend that kind of money to help your employees do their jobs, you spend that money to replace your employees.
I dream of a fully functional Linux phone. If one ever really hits the market, the carriers won't allow it on their networks. Too much money in stealing your data.
How much of the hardware and software you use must be registered, requires internet access to work, a proprietary app? You don't actually own anything that fits in those categories and they can be taken away from you at the manufacturer's whim.
