Overwatch 2 is charging you for the PvE it didn't cancel
  • Sure, charging a reasonable price for additional content is fine. This has been happening for decades as expansions.

This feels particularly odd because Overwatch previously had events (Summer, Halloween, etc) where they released PvE content for free and the community loved it. I played a fair bit of Junkenstein and Lucio ball, it was exciting when it happened for a limited time.

I hope the missions have enough content to warrant the $15 USD price. OW2 disappointed me and it feels like every news article continues that trend.

  • What value did you get from Reddit that you hope to realize or expand upon here?
  • I definitely used Reddit for troubleshooting and finding information. It was extremely helpful that it was indexed by search engines, I worry that instances won’t allow themselves to be indexed so the useful information will be harder to discover.

  • I have no intention of installing the official Reddit app. I’ve used Apollo for years and I’ll leave once it’s no longer an option. The way Reddit treated the Apollo developer is inexcusable.

I managed to quit Twitter, I’m certain I can quit Reddit too.

  • What if Reddit reverts it's changes?
  • I rally hope that Lemmy instances allow themselves to be indexed. Reddit had become a great source of information - I hope Lemmy instances can too. That information needs to be discoverable to be useful.
