PRC is capitalism with some controls. USSR attempted socialism but failed with varying degrees. Cuba is a dictatorship of Castro family. Vietnam was socialist but moved to a PRC model. DPRK is dictatorship.
Communist states require capitalism to some extent as they need the modes of production to exist before the modes of production can be democratized. In the real world this strongly implies that communism would be post capitalist. The problem almost all communist states suffered is via creation of a vanguard party which oversees the transition from the existing structures to actual communism. In many cases vanguard never relinquishes power and becomes the very entity that they set to destroy. Revolution is continous and requires context to succeed. In this case, any structure must be opposed to make sure that power do not get concentrated. This implies that absolute systems cannot exist. Only decentralized systems which cooperate on some principles with each other can solve the issue of power concentration.
Stealing this meme. Too good.
Any structure which has hierarchy in it with control structures away from people suffers from the same issue. People must own things.
There was active intereference by Tlaib, Sawant and Stein on the issue. Many people protested by not voting across many states. While I agree that this was not the singular issue why she lost. I am angry that people abstained so Trump could win. Trump hates muslims and anybody who is not white enough.
Found the person who snorted Ivermectin. Brain worm says thank you.
So do u chain 'ideas' and deport them to El Salvador supermax as well?
Yup. Majority of US lives in 3rd world conditions so the oligarchy can live like literal Pharaohs.
Oh no. How is this possible? Rashida Tlaib and her dear constituents along with Jill Stein and Kshama Sawant told us that this would never happen if we did not vote for Kamala. Ceasefire should happen any time now I guess.
Managers are latter. They don't do much work or deliver any work that is critical to the company to operate. They are very good at corporate speak and climbing.
In US you have to pay tax as well as pay extra for insurance. The insurance is not a full insurance as well. There is copay and a certain value below which insurance does not even start. Its a scam.
Healthcare IIRC is free in China. I am not sure whether something changed or not but it was free of cost.
There is a ceasefire in Gaza according to Rashida Tlaib, Jill Stein and Kshama Sawant.
Yes. Quebec city to Toronto is one straight line and building a high speed railway on a straight line is damn easy. Costly but engoneering wise there are not much challenges.
Hehe. In reddit, she openly threatened them with legal actions. Thats how bad the conversation was.
I dont think they are tankies. I am an anarchist and I believe communism is as evil as capitalism. I am lemmy.ml so I dont think they are tankies.
His line of thinking is that other than US no one can absorb Chinese production. Which means either China have to budge or they have to go to deep recession or listen to orange babboon's demands. The fact is China have stockpiled for this situation and there is a very high chance that they will move towards Taiwan and shift the economy to wartime. I dont think US can win a war against China but orange babbooon is so confident on US ability to win a war against China in Chinese waters all alone without NATO/ India/Russia etc and along with Australia and UK.
The best alternatives to most corporations are worker cooperatives. Anarchist communes have implemented this in past during Spanish civil wars etc. Modern day equivalents are things like REI.
The biggest problem with our country is the damn supply chains. We need to tear down the north south(CAN->US->CAN) supply chains we had in place until now and replace them with East->west supply chains. To get an aluminium can, we export raw aluminium and US makes cans and sends it back to us. They have been taking us for a ride. We get nothing in return. Hopefully Carney is able to incentivize industries which would let us move production back to Canada. Elbows up!
