Truth.
  • I only see the Altima thing on the internet. IME it's just a generic shitty car like a Ford and seems to drive just like anyone else on the road. I feel like any car that costs a lot of money, including pick up trucks are the ones with assholes

  • The official reddit app is not even supported on my device.
  • Honestly, I'm really trying to like Lemmy. I feel like none of the good communities came over here, just the one's you mindlessly scroll through. I just looked for a fitness community yesterday and the one i found had like 5 posts. There is basically no communities for any of my hobbies. It seems like most people stayed on Reddit, except for the techy people. It's a shame because I really want to support the idea of federation and I do like the website.

  • How can I increase my running speed?
  • Getting my leg presses up to 8 plates per side shot up my running speed without any running at all. So I would say focus on leg strength and practice running a lot and keep trying to improve your form using videos or something.

  • Is there a food that is cheap, delicious and healthy at the same time?
  • Honestly, I think most food can be found pretty cheap, except for proteins. The best bet I think is chicken drumsticks, but even those will add up. Beans are a cheap protein, but it's about just as carby as it is proteiny.

  • It's still "fun", but
  • I agree, they don't deserve to be one of the popular instances. They gathered a large userbase and just isolated it. If they wanted to be some special safe space, they should've specified that in the beginning instead of overcomplicating everything the way they did. People keep saying it's their choice, and it is, but in the same way it's Reddit's choice to kill off 3rd party apps.

  • Android 14 Beta 13.1 Available
  • I agree with you. I was using my Honor 6X and while it was very outdated, I was pretty happy with it. One day it just bricked for no reason. I've also had bad experience with Motorola, despite all the praise I've read online.

  • Could federation be a turn-off for more 'mainstream' users?
  • It seems like a win but tech-literate is not equal to smart. Let's say we want advice about cars. Now all the older mechanics who are very smart and technical with cars but not as much with computers won't bring their expertise here. I really want Lemmy to take off. I think it is a good replacement for the scrolling and time-wasting that Reddit provides but I'm worried it will never be a useful resource the same way Reddit is. I think a lot would need to change for that to happen.
