Android Snapchat users are second fiddle, god I hate having to use it.
  • Oh yeah, that's for sure. Messenger and Snapchat are more in the dark side.

  • Android Snapchat users are second fiddle, god I hate having to use it.
  • Don't know. I wish I didn't have to have a Meta app installed on my phone.

  • Thank god none of my friends or relatives ever were really Snapchat users. But I'm held hostage by WhatsApp in here.

  • Removing spyware on stock android
  • Theres a tool named Android Universal Debloater. You don't need root, only adb allowed. In the Debloater you will have the recommended appss to disable, but you can go forward.

  • What are your recommended FOSS Android apps?
  • Amazing list. I would also recommend Obtainium for keeping up the updates directly from sources like Github.

  • How to make android more Private?
  • Exactly what I use. Lately I've been testing the Kiwi Next browser as well.

  • Thoughts on Android 12/13 UI and whitespace
  • As a Samsung user since OneUI 2, I quite dig Android 12+ looks. It helps with bigger screens. But the quick settings toggles are quite a waste of space that big, I agree. When using some ROMs you can reduce the toggles size, and it gets real better.

  • On GrapheneOS, quesrion about moving from Play Store to Aurora Store
  • Aurora recognize the apps normally. No need to unistall them. It will work just like the Play Store.

  • Alternative to Google Pay
  • I don't believe there's any reliable option besides Samsung Pay, but it's locked to Samsung devices. Privacy-wise, I'm not aware of any solution.

  • It annoys the hell out of me as well. I haven't found a workaround yet.

  • Android 14 features and changes list  |  Android Developers
  • Android 14 is the most underwhelming updated yet. Google didn't even promote it well on I/O. About OneUI 6, I just wish Samsung updates the control center. It's too outdated. I know it's simple and working well, but I would love some visual tweaks.

  • Why do you personally prefer using an Android phone?
  • Hopefully real third party browsers are coming to iOS soon. Safari is outdated as hell.

  • Why do you personally prefer using an Android phone?
  • Mostly easy apk sideloading and customization. It's the most versatile OS.

  • What phone are you using?
  • S20 FE user here. Pretty solid phone for the price I paid like almost 2 years ago. It's still great and works marvelously for my usage.

Only downside I would say is custom ROM support, as there's no working one and device support is about to end.
