  • I have a fleeting special interest in mechanical keyboards that comes up every few months or so. Really interested in these ergonomic keyboards and the flexibility they provide, especially going the DIY route. Currently using a logitech keyboard with proprietary keyswitches that I intend to replace. In fact, the switches now get too excited and register the keypress sometimes more than once or not even at all. Rather than ordering proprietary switches to fix it, I'm waiting for my keyboard special interest to kick into full gear and get a better keyboard that I can truly enjoy :)

Also bendy/floppy people represent. I can't sleep on one side due to my shoulder cracking and moving more than it should and the pain is starting to creep into keyboard and mouse use if my posture is acting up (it always is lol). Really should invest into an accessible setup before the current one becomes inaccessible and causes me too much pain.

  • I'm really into progressive rock, neo-psychedelia, new wave, and britpop. I generally like lots of subgenres of rock and switch up things a bit from time to time. Sometimes I like to listen to blues, power metal, and classical when I'm in the mood for it.

The last concert I went to was to see Liam Gallagher in December 2019. It ended halfway through Supersonic and everyone started booing when he just stopped talking and left lol. He was going to cop a large fine if he made any noise past 11pm, but there was no communication about this. Before Liam got on stage there was this Scottish dude, Gerry Cinnamon, who plays the guitar like I've never seen anyone before and I swear he was going to break it mid song lmao. (example of his music: https://youtu.be/S6n7ULbRK20 https://youtu.be/QKzM0DBxNoo)

  • Have you eaten them all yet? They look really good!

As with learning health and how to be a GP, I feel like I am forced to go that route as well with the way healthcare is going here in Aus haha. Feels like whenever I get the chance to see a doctor I am dismissed and not taken seriously, or even better yet straight up lied to. Glad things are working out well for you :)

  • It's all a sham. There's so much blood and bone that needs to be sold so it gets put in fertiliser and a bunch of other crap. No need to put commercialised corpse in your garden, but you may want to reconsider readding your first-born. I had great success with my garden going that route...

  • I don't think it's really uncommon—although, it was to me as I wasn't brought up on a lot of fruit (just mango, apple, orange, and lemon)—, but grapefruit would be my pick. I really like it and I don't like many other fruits, but I don't have it too often as it has some weird drug interactions. I do enjoy having a fruit that's bitter and tastes kinda sweet at the same time.

Something that I do want to have again is durian. I didn't mind the smell and I actually liked how it tasted. Haven't found any fruit similar to taste. It's fairly hard to get here (as in I have to travel a bit to a fruit market by public transport) and I'm not sure if my neighbours would appreciate the smell lol.

I also don't mind coconut given that someone else breaks it open for me.... I've done it once and it was quite a primal feeling smashing it on my bench hoping that nothing would break. The inner-flesh was nice to eat, but not nice enough to want to smash open a coconut for it.

  • If I wanted to be on reddit I’d just sign in.

I think a reason that it's that bad is that quite a few of them are somehow perma-banned from reddit, but are hell bent on making a place exactly like it if not worse on the fediverse. So instead of signing in to reddit, they go onto lemmy world instead and change nothing about their behavior. Surprisingly, lemmy world seems to dish out bans less harshly than reddit and that's really saying something.

Checkmate Carnists! This is what the plants wanted

  • Also, when one of them tries to visit one of the communities they invariably claim that they have been personally banned by you. It actual fact, it's nothing personal, they're just on a trash instance that's been defederated.
