what value can anything add to a planet?
a planet is a dead mass, no matter what you do to it, it don't increase any value of it. The universe outside of earth don't recognize it as some rare event or something sacred, even if humans disappear all of a sudden, a few years later some asteroid will hit it and the rest of life would wipe out.
