Android keyboard recommendations?

Do you guys have any android keyboard recommendations? Using Gboard rn, would choose to not use MS keyboard. Bonus points for multiple language support.

I think the average person just simply doesn't care about their privacy.
  • A lot of us understand that if you type anything in a computer it is assumed to be on the public record either easily found or through a few hoops to get it.

The problem is that nowadays your medical documentation, banking and other sensitive data is all transferred through a computer. And it should be protected and private.

  • Private search engines.
  • I've looked into ecosia and they store IPs for a week to "protect ourselves from spammers". They encrypt your searches, use Bing for results and ads, but they filter the "annoying" ones. I think they are pretty good overall.

  • Private search engines.

I was using DuckDuckGo for some time, but heard that there are better alternatives. I'm confused, because DDG is used by default in TOR browser, and other privacy respecting browsers (ex. Librewolf). Can you guys recommend any other search engine, and tell me why u recommend it?

    Or, is DDG enough?

  • Even if you are unfingerprintable they can still easily track you based on your home IP, so VPN is also needed. Although, yes, UBP and hardened Firefox (or other browser) should be the first step.

  • YSK: Google tracks your app usage and so much more
  • If you don't want to change anything major in your phone or go into the technical stuff, iPhone is better, but the best phone privacy-wise is a Pixel with custom (privacy oriented) ROM installed, since Pixels have the best security features among Android.

  • Adverisiments on Lemmy

Servers cost money to upkeep. So owners of big instances could start posting, ads, pin them and ban other users posting ads or delete their posts. This is obviously almost the worst case scenario. I feel that it wouldn't happen in the near future, as Lemmy grows to become a larger platform. I haven't seen this type of ads on Reddit so is there something stopping this?
