Isn't the web version a full client that works without a phone nearby nowadays?
107 0 ReplyI wouldn't install it on my system in any case.
71 0 ReplyEven if it exists, then it does not have to be good. Look at Microsoft Teams.
29 0 ReplyWhatsApp is owned by Meta right?
28 0 ReplyStop using that shit
23 0 ReplyIt's a web app, you don't really need a native application for it.
23 0 ReplyMeanwhile in the US and Canada: So, I'll just send an SMS, k?
21 0 Reply"best i can do is a chromium only web app"
18 0 ReplyFacebook couldn't bother making a proper Android app for years. Now you want them to make Linux apps? The likelihood is small...
17 0 ReplyYou shouldn't use this app in the first place. It had many data breaches and it copy everything from Telegram (maybe everyone copies, but I don't use other apps). I only mainly use Telegram and Matrix.
15 0 ReplyMy MF smartwatch has WhatsApp but still no Linux version.
15 0 ReplyVIBER HAS A LINUX VERSION?!?!
also android is kinda linux
14 0 ReplyWhy are we installing Whatsapp to begin with?
13 0 ReplyDiscord on Linux kinda sucks, though. It's more resource demanding than the Windows version and I can't even stream with audio.
12 0 Replyweb.whatsapp.com works really well
edit: It does not do voice or video but I'm OK switching to my phone for those
12 0 ReplyIts proprietary so that's not a shock
9 0 ReplyThere are plenty of desktop wrappers available for the Web version. I don't use WhatsApp often but from my experience it seems fairly similar to the Windows desktop app
9 0 ReplyWho uses WhatsApp anyway?
7 0 ReplyWrappers are available as snaps/flatpaks
5 0 ReplyUse it in matrix? Or Element One?
5 0 ReplyYou forgot about Matrix clients (and servers).
4 0 ReplyAnd I still using email
