Doing My Part - Share things where someone is “Doing their part”

  • Lemmy is going quickly, only a few days ago there was 100 users, but now there are 3.53K users on this instance alone, so in time, this community should grow, only have been a few days, so that may not be the same forever

  • I think the universal link only changes the community to your instance, but not much more than that. If the community isn't already connected to your instance, it won't work, but once someone connects it, it will work I think, wish there was just one easy way, but football@lemmy.world is probably already connected, so that's why that one works and not the others. May be a problem, since most of these are new communities, so I'm just going to use both ways for now, until there's a better way

  • Good catch, when I cross-posted, it automatically links to the original instance, not the local version, and I never changed that part

  • This is a great feature! I wish this could work in the url field too, as I tried that, but it doesn't take that much time to open the body of a post, so it's not really a major issue to worry about though

  • While not every community is on Lemmy yet that I visit on Reddit, by people migrating from Reddit to here, hopefully that issue will be solved soon. The community here seems way more welcoming than the Reddit community is too

  • I was thinking the same thing and searched and found this post! I haven't find a community like that on Lemmy yet, but there is this https://browse.feddit.de/ that I heard about, but I heard that it takes some time for new communities to show up there.
