Nothing also hasn’t revealed if removing the rear panel will provide easier access to the CMF Phone 1’s internals, including its battery, but the feature may focus more on customizing appearance and functionality than improving repairability.
Hopefully it's still repairable in that case. Although I'd love to see it prioritized more.
The Tour de France is on. Along with Unchained for a Drive to Survive feel.
You are invited to a meeting Agent X/Whistleblower Coffee chat.
Going? Yes/No/Maybe

After a major feeder water main break plunged Calgary’s water supply into a critical state, city officials are now asking Calgarians to use 25 per cent less than they did yesterday, sounding the alarm that the city is at risk of running out. This is probably the most relevant voice I've seen on Lemmy that wasn't in tech.
Although it seems like building it under the highway was not a great move. Was there some benefit like the earth being dug up anyways when they decided to put it there?
You raise a good point. I'll change the original to include the relevant excerpts so readers can decide on the meaning. Thanks 👍
There is but it won't be released till after the election according to Freeland.
Edit: thanks to ILikeBoobies@lemmy.ca for pointing out editorialization concerns I've added a relevant quote below from the article.
Senior cabinet ministers wouldn't say Tuesday if the government is prepared to release the names of parliamentarians who are alleged to have conspired with foreign governments and to have consciously shared sensitive information with their agents — conduct that one expert says could amount to treason. There may still be police investigations into these allegations, the ministers said, and details could eventually be released as part of that process. But that raises the question of whether the voting public will know who's alleged to have engaged in such conduct before the next federal election, which is expected sometime in 2025.
The economy is booming, and yet many Americans are still gasping for air financially. They simply don’t have the breathing room to plan beyond their present needs

I don't know about not seeing IDF forces killing Palestinians. I'd argue the two places to see that are Twitter and Telegram. At least in terms of lack of censorship and ease of locating.
So much so that the Washington Post wrote about the two platforms carrying the most gruesome images here.
I imagine some level of worker protection may be required to see success in this.
Seems like depending on what you bring to light you're at best let go into a brutal job market. Or if you piss off Boeing you just die.
With the push to meet in person ASAP Thursday might be into something. Especially if people are concerned about being blackmailed for their conversations.
You don't really need to be a fan to see that.
Thermal imaging is an interesting selling point, who needs that?
I like the closing gap between the lowest earners. I just wish it wasn't due to the middle class being dragged down.
Glad he linked Cory Doctorow at the end. His recent works like the internet con cover this topic well.
He does offer solutions but as you could guess these things aren't easy to fix.
Watch them still greenwash their operations so your average person isn't even aware they're supporting this.
