I was not ready for it then and still am not truly ready for it now, but my world was rocked by the arrival of Technotronic's 1989 techno anthem Pump up the Jam.
Difficult to say, depends on what I'm doing or my mood. Classical if I need to concentrate or get hyped, metal to chill out, lo-fi for playing racing games.
I gotta say it's a blend of all. Currently my infatuation has been synthwave and dreamwave. Each provide tons of quality background noise or even active listening.
I went from being the typical gate keeping metalhead to loving Jazz and Jazz Fusion then Big Band and some occasional hip hop/ trap
Now I am intro the genre bending bands and artists like Twelve Foot Ninja , Kim Dracula, Bad Omens, Thank You Scientist etc..
I used to love music, but over time I became increasingly frustrated by earworms which last days at a time.
The solution was to only listen to music without vocals. So occasionally, some classical, jazz, or that lowfi hiphop YouTube stream. If you have other recommendations I would love to hear them.
