Sacramento Sheriff is sharing license plate reader data with anti-abortion states, records show
"In May, EFF released a report showing that 71 law enforcement agencies in 22 California counties — including Sacramento County — were sharing such data. The practice is in violation of a 2015 law that states “a (California law enforcement) agency shall not sell, share, or transfer ALPR information, except to another (California law enforcement) agency, and only as otherwise permitted by law.”

I may need a bit of a reminder when Republicans were the party of "privacy" since I'm fairly certain both parties aren't that great with it. Democrats may be at least more upfront about it but damn republicans love to say they "care about privacy to do ____" unless its falls out of their "values" then it not about privacy its about banning it and harassing those who dare go against their "Judeo Christian values"
Roe V. Wade was predicated on the constitutional right to privacy, ya dunce. The argument was always about privacy.
