What Tyson Foods’ Terrible Year Means for the Future of Big Chicken | Consumers are showing a shrinking appetite for beef, pork and poultry
Layoffs and a declining stock price may signal trouble for the U.S.'s largest poultry producer.
Or did they just jack prices up so much in their fit of greed that it caused demand to fall...?
31 0 ReplyYeah it's just a price thing. Nobody I know has stopped eating beef and chicken on the regular, just may buy less because of the price.

"shrinking appetite"
Because cheap ramen noodles are just sooo much more appetizing.
16 0 ReplyIn my circle, we are eating less “junk” the prices are absurd. Chips were replaced with different snacks, no more soda. It’s all the same price or more expensive than fruit, trail mix and other alternatives. And I thought Tyson’s was overpriced junk 10+ years ago. I can’t imagine what it’s like now.
10 0 ReplyYou know what a long (now empty) shed that used to be full of tortured chickens is perfect for? Growing mushrooms.
Better for the farmer, better for thr animals, better for the consumers.
