  That, and they also don't remove people's comments for mentioning the tiananmen square massacre, marking it as 'exoticism'.
  
  Also ernest has made a stance against "nazi bullshit" and kbin.social terms of service also prohibit hate speech.
  
  And he doesn't seem to fetishize authoritarian mass murderers. I see that as a positive.

  I’m not sure if it matters if the software is open source and if politics do not interfere with the development of the software. Even less so because the devs don’t control the federated instances outside of their own instance. I’m sure I don’t agree with a lot of developers of software that I use on a daily basis and I actually don’t really care, as long as it’s not actively harming people or limit how I use the software.
  That being said, I don’t know much about them and I might be unaware of some really serious things that they’ve said or done that might change my mind.

That's one of the main reasons I chose kbin over lemmy. That and the UI.
I am subscribed to just 2 mags but what I don't understand is why did ernest create and is moding lemmy counterparts of these 2 subs.
- It's a UI bug. Any non-kbin community shows Ernest as the owner
  
  Oh damn. So thats it. I've been only interested on these 2 subs that I had no way of figuring that out.
  Weirdly ebough, I only subscribe to kbin magazines because they just look clean without the -@lemmy.something extensions. This means other fediverse will see it with -@kbin.social too right?
