AC in the server room broke. Told my boss we needed to rent or buy a spot cooler.
Nope, let's just get a couple coolers of ice.
Dude, do you know why that AC unit is rated for 1.5 tons of cooling?
A cooler isn't going to do anything.
"hello, I'd like to get half a ton of dry ice delivered. No, we don't have a working ventilation system, why do you ask?"
You would just need 1.5 tons of ice every 24 hours NBD.
it we could just install some kind of conveyor, and a bin with a drain....
Or get a $500 ac unit that plugs into the wall and vents into the hall...
Just come up with a plan that involves 100 ice makers
just put the ice directly on the motherboard, ez pz cooling
I don't get it
I think this is a common "trick" to help heat your home if the power goes out. Putting a pot over 4 tea candles doesn't change how much heat it produces. But it does slow down the hot air path, so instead of going straight to the ceiling it bounces around at lower heights. And you get a little bit of radiant heat from the pot, but see laws of physics. It's more about the distribution of the heat.
They… you know they keep posting that you can heat a room, doing this… a tea candle doesn’t put out that kinda heat…. ¯(ツ)_/¯
Isn’t it just so the heat stays in a smaller area? Radiant heat acts differently as well.
Oh, I thought they were using the candles to emulate sunlight and were going to grow a plant upside-down...

No. Who is they and where are they posting it? I've never seen this before.
I was totally stumped too until the answers to your query. I wasn't thinking northern hemisphere, I guess.
