It took me a while but boy that is a rough joke.
To add to the horror, I remember that the journalist that uncovered what happened in the Congo, started his inquiry because he noticed that the boats arriving in the Antwerp harbor were filled with rubber and all the boats leaving for Congo were filled with bullets. This was especially surprising because Belgian Africa started as a charitable endeavor funded with donations to ‘help civilize’ the continent.

With the war now entering its second month, UN officials and G7 nations stepped up appeals for a humanitarian pause in the hostilities to help alleviate the suffering in Gaza, where buildings have been flattened and basic supplies are running out.
