I live in rural NM and when I moved back here in 2014 if you did not have Verizon you did not have coverage outside cities and some towns. Now that Verizon shut down their 3g network they have almost no coverage. Their 5g is in only a couple places, meanwhile T-Mobile is just about everywhere.
Same kind of thing actually. I started using T-Mobile back in 2015 or so, and the coverage was way less than it is these days. They have improved massively when they got the low band 700 megahertz back in 2016.
If you are in a big city or near one you are likely okay. When I travel the 80+ miles to Albuquerque Verizon is decent in more areas (my secondary line is still Verizon)
Yes, actually, but I intend to foster discussion a lot like r/tmobile. The community just is currently too small to have really taken off. Once in a while somebody else will post something, but it is kind of rare since I purposely find news and information to post. With that said, the discussion level on some of the posts is rising, so maybe other people will begin posting at some point, and I can back off.
What do you find more interesting about tmobile compared to other carriers? Anyone can bring their passion to lemmy but I have to admit this is a strange one.
