Special edition "Brompton Beyond x Bear Grylls" will be coming in Autumn '23

Specs seem to be:

Beyond X: M6L in olive green with beige fork, stem and rear end, orange frame stickers, Schwalbe Racer Tanwall, Brompton Borough Backpack in olive green and saddle bag in olive green). No dynamo, only M handlebars.

There is a (GERMAN!) video with some info about this edition from the Eurobike fair.

  • It's a cool paint/sticker job I guess but that doesn't strike me as too exciting as it's just a regular Brompton C-Line utility otherwise?

    I didn't know there's a Borough Backpack though and it's waterproof too! I'ma have to put that on my wishlist. The regular Borough Bag is great but it sucks to carry around for more than a few meters and I don't like shoulder bags very much.

    I wonder whether it can accommodate a 15" + 13" laptop though. I need to carry two unfortunately.

    • Yeah, it seems similar to what they did with the "x Barbour" or the Explore editions. They might upgrade some special parts to make it a but more premium, but I think that is not really clear atm.

      BrilliantBikes did a video-review of the bag a while ago where they also tried several laptops in. Might be interesting for you. 😉

        I wonder how I didn't come across that one before I bought the non-backpack borough bag. Oh well...
