Do not ask questions on this thread, as most likely nobody will see it, so you will not get your answer. Instead if you have any questions or need recommendations, make a new post.
It is still fine to suggest changes to the list in this thread.
You can add Liftoff! under macOS too. We’ve not done any work specifically to make it a first class Mac app, but it installs and runs perfectly using TestFlight for Mac.
Edit: sorry just realised that this is the original post reformatted. Looks really good, great work!
This list could maybe do with a bit of an update? A few additions, Raccoon & Muffed for android, & some dropping off, abandoned, or no longer being developed/maintained: Arctius (Fennec), Artemis, Beyond, Liftoff, Lemming, Lemmotif, Slide, to name a few, & some that never saw the light of day..🤷🏻♂️
Also, the current focus is the desktop site and touch-friendly web app. iOS and Android releases are a lower priority for now so it might best to remove it from those lists until announced
The Liftoff app has changed its TestFlight account - I couldn't get the TestFlight links currently posted to work, so I assume they aren't current. If you click their community's link, it'll say where they are now. I would link it.. but I haven't figured out how to do that yet lol.
Don’t know if they would ever see this but if the developer for the Calipso app for Squabblr wanted to port or build an app for Lemmy I would be in full support! The app was what made Squabblr worth interacting with for me. Once I saw he deleted his account and removed the app from the App Store I deleted my Squabblr account too.
Great list. I'm favouring Connect right now, closely followed by LiftOff. Jerboa is now having problems logging me into instances and Lemmur looks good but won't connect at all for me :(. Wefwef & Summit look like they need more work for me
Just tried Beyond, and have currently switched to Infinity from Liftoff. Beyond is in a very early stage, Infinity seems pretty good, especially considering it is also very new. Liftoff is very stable, but I'm not sure if I would stick with it, now that Infinity is a thing.
Lemminator is a web UI that aims to make Lemmy more approachable for a broad non-technical audience. It can be hosted by Lemmy instance owners, and Lemmy.world users can use https://lemminator.netlify.app/.

By the way, alpha testing for Artemis has begun. Granted it's only for kbin at the moment, but there's only a limited amount of testers. Lemmy will be available when open beta rolls around!
Thanks for the list. I've been using a mixture of both Jerboa and Connect so far. They're both good but as is there's still a lot of room for improvement to bring them the extra mile. Also excited for when Sync releases as well for Lemmy. It was my app of choice for Reddit and I hope that it will become my app of choice for Lemmy as well once it releases.
Playing with Jerboa and Lemmynade here. Not to sure which I prefer yet but leaning towards Lemmynade but will see what Jerboa brings once Lemmy.world is updated to 18.1.
Why the obsession with apps? Apps are pushed by companies because they can show ads regardless of installed ad blockers and because they can harvest more data about you to sell to advertisers. Because of this they've been progressively making the mobile web worse for years now to force people onto their apps.
But it doesn't need to be that way. Mobile websites can operate just as effectively as mobile apps and I think this website is a great example of that. I for one would love not having to click "no, I don't want to open your website in your stupid app, that's why I opened it in my browser" every time I visit a website on my phone. It used to be that way. I'd love to see it that way again, and this site is a step in the right direction.
