Can confirm, my cat is like this. Then i move the food from the edge to the middle, and he looks at me like:
your cat does this because they hate when their whiskers get bent back. they get claustrophobic and just refuse to eat like that. top off the bowl for them
Every godsdamn night at 3 am
So then why not make a funnel shaped food bowl so the bottom can only be seen once the bowl is empty
